T HIS FEATURE WILL HELP TO SIMPLIFY THE PARALLEL CONNECTION OF MULTIPLE WOOFERS AND INSURE MAXIMUM CURRENT FLOW . BALANCED INPUT :TO ENABLE THE BALANCED LINE , PLACE THE JUMPER ON THE LEFT AND CENTER SET OF PINS . TO DISABLE , REMOVE JUMPER AND PLACE IT ON THE CENTER AND RIGHT SET OF PINS . OBSERVE THE LABELING ON THE CIRCUIT BOARDS . REMOTE SWITCHED 12 VOLTS 16 GAUGE OR LARGER GROUND Ð 8 GAUGE OR LARGER POWER Ð 8 GAUGE OR LARGER INPUT GAIN :TO ADJUST INPUT GAIN , MOVE JUMPER AND INSTALL IT IN THE LOCATION WHICH MATCHES YOUR INPUT SIG - NAL LEVEL . SERVICE JUMPER :REMOVING JUMPER WILL TURN -OFF AMPLIFIER WHEN REMOTE TURN -ON, GROUND AND +12 VOLT CABLES ARE CONNECTED TO AMPLIFIER . U SE TO SERVICE /ADJUST AMPLIFIER WHEN IN USE . IMPEDANCE JUMPER :USE THIS JUMPER TO MATCH THE IMPEDANCE LOAD OF YOUR SPEAKER SYSTEM TO THE AMPLIFIER . THIS FUNCTION ALLOWS THE 301 A TO PROVIDE ITS MAXIMUM 300 WATTS OF POWER TO YOUR SPEAKER SYSTEM Ð AT EITHER 4½ OR2½. W ITH CERTAIN SPEAKER SYSTEMS (I.E. 3½), BOTH SETTINGS SHOULD BE SAMPLED TO DETERMINE THE OPTIMUM LOAD SETTING. MARK WIRES FOR TERMINATION.D ETERMINE WIRE LENGTHS FOR POWER , G ROUND , R EMOTE , & S PEAKER CABLES . M ARK FOR CUTTING /TER - MINATION . R EMOVE 301a. C UT AND TERMINATE ALL WIRES . CAUTION: STRIPPING WIRES OVER THE CIRCUIT BOARD MAY CAUSE PRODUCT FAILURE. ¬ BALANCED INPUTS:M AKE ALL INITIAL ADJUSTMENTS AT YOUR WORK BENCH . T O SELECT ÒBALANCED INPUT Ó FOR OEM INTEGRATION OR INDUC - TIVE NOISE CANCELLATION , MOVE THE JUMPER , LOCATED ABOVE AND TO THE LEFT OF THE RCA INPUT CONNECTORS TO THE ÒENABLE Ó POSITION . ­ INPUT GAIN:T HE INPUT GAIN IS FACTORY PRESET AT +10dB AND WILL WORK WITH AN INPUT SIGNAL OF 300 MV TO 1 V OLT . TO INCREASE THE GAIN , MOVE THE JUMPER TO THE +20 dB POSITION . T O DECREASE INPUT GAIN , PLACE JUMPER IN THE 0, -10, OR -20 dB POSITION .  OPTIMIZING CIRCUIT:T HE POWER SUPPLY ÒOPTIMIZING CIRCUIT Ó LABELED ÒOUTPUT IMPEDANCE Ó IS LOCATED BY THE POWER SUPPLY CAPACITORS (BELOW THE XTANT LOGO ). P LACE THE JUMPER IN THE POSITION WHICH CLOSE - LY MATCHES THE LOAD OF YOUR SPEAKER SYSTEM . (IE: 2½ OR 4½) à INSTALL ACCESSORY MODULES.A T YOUR BENCH , ADJUST CROSSOVER MODE JUMPERS AND CHANGE CROSSOVER FREQUENCYSIPÕ S. R EMOVE PORT JUMPERS AND INSTALL MODULE (S) Ð OBSERVE ÒKEY Ó ON CON - NECTOR FOR PROPER FIT . A DJUST PQM-1 OR LFQ 45 EQ MODULES AFTER AMP IS MOUNTED . MOUNT THE AMPLIFIER AND MAKE ALL CONNECTIONS. D OUBLE CHECK ALL CONNECTIONS ! T URN ON AMPLIFIER . C HECK RED LED , IT SHOULD BE ON . IF ANY OTHER ADJUSTMENTS NEED TO BE MADE (CROSSOVER MODULES /INPUT GAIN ADJUSTMENT ), THE ° ÒREMOTE TURN ONÓ JUMPER , LOCATED BELOW THE ÒOUTPUT IMPEDANCE Ó JUMPER , MAY BE USED TO TURN THE AMP OFF . M AKE ADJUSTMENTS AND PLACE JUMPER IN THE ENABLE POSI - TION TO TURN THE AMP BACK ON . Å ADJUST OUTPUT GAIN TO SET SYSTEM LEVEL. AFTER FINE TUNING THE SYSTEM, REMOVE PROTECTIVE COVERING AND SPRAY A LIGHT COATING OF WD40 ªON A SOFT CLOTH AND CLEAN COVER . Á  à ð ¬ Å
