Confirm that the measured value at REC-OUT,/TP7 tor L-CH. REGOUT/TPM tor
R-CH is +2i025 dB greater than the measured value (+8:025d8) in the above
step 5 when bet-ween FET GATE and GROUND (TPS and TP4 (Ground) for L-CH).
(TP12 and TP11 (Ground) for R-CH) 0t ENCODER is shorted.

it the Dolby ENCODER circuit doesn't meet the above specifications. adjust the follow-
ing controls
Set VRSOI (L. R-CH) to maximum posrtion (turn to counter-clockwise direction (; l).
Adjust VR503 (L. R-CH) to obtain an output level at REC-OUTJTP7 tor L-CH. TPM
tor R-CH which is + lOdB greater than the "OUT" posnion of S3 Dolby NR switch
. Adjust VR501 (L, R-CH) to Obtain an output level at RECOUT/TP7 for L-CH, TPM
tor RoCH which is «~2dB lower than that obtained in step 3 above.
