STEREO HIGH PERFORMANCE POWER AMPLIFIER

Description:

The new PA-TOO is a rugged. high perlormance ampliiier Ofierrng 355 watts/channel into 4 ohms. 210 wattstchannel into 8 ohms and 710
wattsimono-bridged into 8 ohms. Bui it tor reliabi lity. it has iust the ieatures you need. Advanced Circuitry reduces distortion and horse to inaudible levels.
The high damping lactor assures clean. solid bass response. The welded steel chassis means solid readability. while the modular construction
provides ease of service The exceptional thermal capacity does not al low the amplifierto overheat thereby lengthening its life. whi Ie the two-speed ian
lets the unit mn much quieter under most operating conditions High input sensitivity allows the amplifier to handle almost any pre-amplriied audio
Signal, and sophisticated Loss of Feedback clipping indicators (LEDs) warn you when clipping occurs on either channel.

Mono Operation

Where higher power capability is recurred. or when balanced line operation is needed, the PA-700 may be swrtched to the mono mode. Conversion to
mono operation is accomplished wilhlhe rear panel switch. Inthis mono-bridged mode. the output olthe PA<700wiII drive 625 watts into 70 volt lines, a
requirement for installations with long distances between the amp and speakers.

Conservative Thermal Design

Heatdissrpatioii inthe TAPCO PIX-700 is accomplished bythe use at massive heat sinks (mounted directlyto the Circuit boards) and forced aircooling
provided by atwo-speed tan The heat sink areas have been calculated to provrde generous margins oi dissmation capabilities, so the output devrces
operate signiiioantly below rnaXImum recommended temperatures. This assures maxrmum ampliiier lite and reliability.

Protection

The Circuit breaker on-oii swrlch removesthe need to carry spare luses, and assures the propertrrp" paint. as apposed toa iuse (which can be replaced
by a wrong value. Or can vary with temperature]

The outputcircuilry is iully protected by voltage-current limiting. This protection crrcurtprotectsthe amplifier under gross faultconditions such as short
circuits, very low load impedances. or overly reactive loads. When the ampiiiier is overdriven. the protection Circuit is activated, so the amplifier IS
always positively protected irorn output iaults

An additional Fail-Sale is provided by the PA-TOOs load relay system. it eliminates "spikes and thumps" to the speakers during turn-on and turn-oft.
and automatically disconnects the speakers should it sense DC voltage on the output terminals, This system completely eliminates the possrbility oi
speaker lailure from DC exposure.
