FEATURES

The compact, lightweight TC-DSM Stereo Cassette
Recorder is designed so that anyone can execute field
recording.

The TC~D§M is equipped with all features necessary
for wide-range hi-fi stereo recording and playback.

S & F (Sendust and Ferrite) head makes possible a
wider dynamic range and an extended frequency
response, and can take full advantage of the new
metal tapes.

The careless servo-controlled motor provides accurate
and stable tape transport even when the recorder itself
is in motion and assures lower power consumption.

Tape selector lor the four main types of tape allows
the recorder to take full advantage of the new metal
tapes.

The Dolby Noise Reduction System for reducing tape
hiss has been built into an integrated circuit to simpli-
iy the amplifier circuit and improve the sound quality.

Two illuminated VU meters and a peak level indicator
with a Light Emitting Diode (LED) permits maintaining
a wide dynamic range during recording without intro-
ducing distortion.

Limiter circuit and microphone attenuator provide
distortion-free recording of high inputs.

With the builtin monitor speaker you can check the
recording results immediately.

Automatic shut-off mechanism activates at the end of
the tape in the playback or record mode to return the
depressed buttons to their original position.

With its 3-way power supply you can operate the
recorder on internal batteries, house current or a car
battery.
