OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS/MODE DEMPLOI

Before operating the unit, please read this manual thoroughly,
and retain it for future reference.
INSERTING BATTERIES

1 Turn the Commander face down, press the tab and lilt the
cover.

2 Place batteries in the Commander with the polarities in the
correct directions, as illustrated inside the case.

3 Replace the cover.

Press + to increase volume, or a" to decrease
it.

0 Use 2 size AA batteries (IEC designation Re).

0 In normal operation, batteries wrll last up to halt ayear. Ifthe
set does not operate properly, the batteries might be ex
hausted. Replace all with new ones,

0 To avoid damage from possrble battery leakage, remove the
batteries for extended unused periods,

0 Keep the Commander away lrorri extremely hot or humid
places.

a The FiM-717 Remote Commander may be used only with
those Sony color TV models whose instruction manuals in
dicate its name.

0 Remote operation of TV is limited to the features and func-
tions of the TV.

0 The shorter the distance between the Commander and the
TV, the Wider the angle within which the TV can be controlled,
0 Be sure that there are no obstructions between the Com-
mander and the TV.

Press to have the set turn oil automalically alter

Press again to cancel the sleep timer.

ENTER button
Press alter selecting the desired channel number
button(s).
