IFS-190
Overview of the system
The IFS-190 is an Infrared cordless speaker system With
built-in amplifiers. By connecting the separately sold Sony
infrared transmitter TMR-IF10K etc to either the line outpul
terminals or headphones terminal of your AV equipment,
this system will be able to receive audio signals in inirered
rays rrom the AV equlpment and will produce hm quality
sound. Without the trouble at connecting the speaker cords.
the speaker units can be moved around with ease in order
to be placed in the Dpllmum location in your room. Each
speaker unit contains a set at tour speakers and two
amplifiers which will give powerful high quality sound
reproduction. This speaker system can be used as a main
speaker system as wetl as a surround speaker sysem.
Since these speaker units use infrared lays. the further
they are placed Irom the intrared emitter the more
hissing noise the units tend to pick up. Also iI the
infrared rays are obscured. the units may pick up some
noise or the sound may be interrupted. However this is a
characteristic at any infrared transmission system and
does I'Ifi mean that the units are detective.
Notes on chip component replacement
0 Never reuse a disconnected chip component.
0 Notice that the minus side of a tantalum capacitor may be
