Note on ceramic filter (CF2, 3) replacement

Pracaution for removing ceramic filters (CFZ, 3) : Replace
both ceramic filters (10.7 MHz) CFZ and CF3 when repairing
one of them

CF2 (3 pin) and CFS (2 pin).

Battery installation E]

Insert two R03 (size AAA) batteries with correct
polarity. When the sound becomes weak or
distorted, replace all the batteries with new ones.

Notes on batteries

-To avoid damage from possible battery leakage,
remove the batteries when the unit is not to be
used for a long time.

Radio Operation

Press POWER/AUTO OFF to turn on the

power.

Select ® (earphone) or air (speaker).

® (earphone): When the earphone is not
connected, sound comes out from the
speaker. When the earphone is connected.
sound comes out only from the earphone.

a] (speaker): Whether the earphone is connected
or not, sound always comes out from the
speaker. Tolisten to the FM programs, make
sure to connect the earphone since the
earphone cord serves as the FM antenna.

Select FM or AM.

Adjust VOL (volume).

Turn the TUNE control.

Tune indicator lights up when a signal is

received.

To turn off the radio, press POWER/AUTO OFF
again.

When the power goes off automatically

The radio will go all automatically after about
90 minutes to prevent unnecessary wear on the
batteries.

To continue listening to the radio, press
POWER/AUTO OFF again.

Extend the earphone cord to improve FM reception,
since the cord serves as the FM antenna.
