0 Keep the temperature of the soldering iron around
270°C during repairing.

0 Do not touch the soldering iron on the same con-
ductor of the circuit board (within 3 times).

0 Be careful not to apply force on the conductor
when spldering or unsolden'ng.

Notes on chip component replacement

0 Never reuse a disconnected chip component.
0 Notice that the minus side of a tantalum capacitor
may be damaged by heat.

Set the radlo iollowing steps 1 to 5 so that lhe radio ls turned on
automatically by the supersonic wave sensor.

II Set POWER to ON.

I! Select FM or AM with the BAND selector.

El Adjust volume.

I! Adjust tuning.

B Set POWER Io STANDBY.
The supersonic wave sensor will function in about 5
seconds.

® RESET button
Press to turn 0" the radio temporarily when it has
been turned on by the supersonic wave sensor. The
sensor will not lunction tor about 5 seconds after this
button is pressed.

@TUNE Indicator
Illuminates when a signal is received.

(9 TIMER SET control
Adjust the amount ot time length (between approx. 3
to 30 minutes) that you wish the radio to stay on alter
it has been turned on by the supersonic wave sensor.
The radio will be turned oil automatically.
TiMER SET does not tunction when the radio has
been turned on by setting POWER to ON.

To turn o" the radio completely, set POWER to OFF.

To turn on lhe radio: set POWER to OFF.
