Clock Function

The box will have a switch ($501) inside the housing that will be accessible through the cover.
This switch will control whether the unit does or does not display the clock.

0 Display (Disp) button function when clock switch is activated : (F17F-18C815)

' Pushing button while in the CD mode, the display switch from Track Number to Elapsed
Time to Clock. Only clock numerals will display in clock mode.
The time will be displayed until the button is pushed again.
However, if the CD track selection is changed while the unit is in Clock Mode the new Track
Number will display for 2 seconds and then revert back to Clock.

' Pushing button in the Radio Mode, the display switch from Radio Frequency to Clock. The
time will be displayed until the button is pushed again. However, if the radio is retuned while
the unit is in clock Mode the new radio frequency will display for 2 seconds and then revert
back to clock.

' Pushing button while Ignition Key is Off, clock will display for approximately 5 seconds.

' Pushing button while in the CD mode, the display switch from Track Number to Elapsed
Time.

' The display button has no effect in the Radio Mode.

To set clock, turn Radio/ CD power OFF, push display button and hold in simultaneously with the
rocker Tune button (« to set hours and » to set minutes) until the proper time is reached.
When the radio power switch is off, time will be displayed.

The Precision of the Clock Checking

'The pulse for the clock oscillated by IC103 goes through C2322 and Q32l to the
microcomputer IC 101.

IC103 output pulses go high at intervals of four seconds, and its width is approximately

93.75 msec. approx.
