breakdown because of the potenual dllference generated by the
charged electrostauc load, etc on clothmg and the human body
Dunng reparr, pay attenuon to electrostauc breakdown and also use
the procedure m the prmted matter whlch 1s mcluded m the repatr
parts

The flexrble board rs eastly damaged and should be handled wrth
care

NOTES ON LASER DIODE EMISSION CHECK

The laser beam on thls model rs concentrated so as to be focused on
the dtsc reflectrve surface by the objecttve lens 1n the opucal plck~up
block Therefore, when checkmg the laser dtode emissmn, observe
from more than 30 cm away from the objecttve lens

NOTES ON PICK-UP FLEXIBLE BOARD

The ptck-up flexrble board to th1s set 1s secured to the optlcal ple-up
wrth an adheswe tape Once the tape IS removed, an adhenng force
becomes weak, and 1t cannot be reused

Therefore, 1f the opucal pick-up IS replaced, replace also the prck-up
flexrble board wtth a new one

NOTES ON CLEANING THE OBJECTIVE LENS

Apply CD lens cleaner 3-4 (Part No J-2501-000-A) to cotton swabs
(narrow type) (Part No I-2501-023-A) to be hghtly wet Use a force
(about 5 g (0 18 07)) to make the objecnve lens 1n contact wnh the
bottom hghtly, and clean the lens by sptrals as followmg below

Replace the cotton swab and repeat thrs cleaning two or three trmes

surface of ob/acave lens

Notes

Do not force to push the objectwe lens Otherwrse, the plate spnng
supportmg the objecuve lens wrll be bent, causmg a detenorated RF
waveform

Never touch anythmg other than the objectwe lens Otherwrse, a
srgmftcant dctenoratron occurs In the RF waveform
