breakdown because of the potennal dxfference generated by the
charged electrostatic load, etc on clothmg and the human body
Dunng repalr, pay attennon to electrosmuc breakdown and also use
the procedure In the prmted matter which 15 Included tn the reparr

The flextble board rs eastly damaged and should be handled wrth
care

NOTES ON LASER DIODE EMISSION CHECK

The laser beam on thls model rs concentrated so as to be focused on
the drsc rcfletuve surface by the ObJECDVe lens to the opncal prck-up
block Therefore, when checkmg the laser dtode emrsston, observe
from more than 30 cm away from the objecttve lens

NOTES ON PICK-UP FLEXIBLE BOARD

The ptck-up flexrble board to thrs sens secured to the opucal plck-up
wrth an adhesrve tape Once the tape ls removed, an adhermg force
becomes weak, and 1t cannot be reused

Therefore, 1f the optrcal prck-up rs replaced, replace also the ptck»up
flextble board wnh a new one

NOTES ON CLEANING THE OBJECTIVE LENS

Apply CD lens cleaner 13-4 (Part No J-ZSOl-OOOA) to cotton swabs
(narrow type) (Part No J-2501-023~A) to be hghtly wet Use a force
(about 5 g (0 18 02)) to make the objecttve lens 1n contact wrth the
bottom lrghtly, and clean the lens by sptrals as followmg below
Replace the cotton swab and repeat tlus cleamng two or three tunes

Notes-

Do not force to push the objectrve lens Otherwrse, the plate spnng
supportmg the objecuve lens wrll be bent, causxng a detenorated RF
waveform

Never touch anyrhtng other than the objective lens Otherwrse, a s1g-
ntficant detenoratton occurs tn the RF waveform
