Lightweight polyester film diaphragms mean
llat, low-distortion response from the deepest
lows into the ultrasonics. High power handling

Privacy-Balance Design

ll youve tried the fully-sealed types of head-
phones you know they create a claustrophobic
feeling ol isolation from the world around you.
The tullyopen types avoid this. but they let in all
of the outside noise to spoil your music. Sansui
ends both problems by slitting the 58-60 earcups
in the Privacy-Balance design to let air trapped
inside escape. This reduces pressure and lets just
enough outside sound in to prevent that claustro-
phobic feeling. There's a musical advantage, too:
musical response is flat into the deepest bass. is
more linear across a wider audio range, and has
better transient response and less distortion.

Use with Any Amp or Receiver

The 38-605 have wide power/sensitivity capa-
bilities. This means you can drive them safely from
new. high-powered types of amplifiers or receivers
(up to 500mw per channel) with no fear of over-
loading or burnout. They alsofealure high sensitivity
(lOBdB) so that you may use medium-to-small-
output amps or receivers. Whatever the level of
reproduction, the 53-605 always deliver low-
distortion. high fidelity sound. They also show
optimum damping relativetothe output impedance
of today's amps and receivers.

LIngolght Polymer Film Diaphragm

There are two very good reasons we use
polyester film diaphragms in each earcup: One.
they help reduce overall headphone weight (by
way of not requiring heavy magnetic structures)
so that total comfort is enhanced. Two. they have
particularly high compliance so that musical
reproduction remains flat and undistorted from
the richest lows clear up into the Ultrasonics.

Fatigue-Free Design

Other headphones may claim comfort. the SS
SS«60s deliver it. Earcups are height adiustable
(with click stops) so that they fit your ears as if
custom made. The easyon-theears design
includes an elastic steel headband which is pre-
tensioned to provide light and firm headphone
seating on any head.

Separate Controls tor Each Channel

Level balance (volume) is adjustable in each
individual channel. Normally the volume controls
should be set at their clicked MAX positions for
best results. The separate controls make it
unnecessary for you to walk all the way over to
your stereo control center to make left/right
balance adjustments. A 2-m straight cord is
provided.
