specially developed speakers assure it, along with separately adjustable
Volume and Tone controls. The 83-20 is fully adjustable, with soft,
washable, long-wearing vinyl-chloride pads for complete comfort over ex-
tended listening periods. Attractively colored in black and white, the unit
also comes with a standard stereo plug that makes it compatible with
various strength amplifiers and an extension cord with dual jacks so that
two can share the enjoyment with the addition of another headphone set.

2-WAY 4-SPEAKER SYSTEM: Special cone
paper considered extremely efficient in bass
radiation is used in the construction of the large
3-inch woofer. This speaker and a 2-inch
tweeter with a newly developed mylar diaphragm
are skillfully combined on the same axis in each
headphone. And, as in regular quality speaker
systems, a network divides the frequency range
of input signals into two bands for reproduction
by the two separate speakers.

WIDE TONE RANGE: From well-damped, pow-
erful bass to transparent super treble beyond
the limit of human hearing, the Sansui SS-20
reproduces an exceptionally wide range of
sound, full of presence and with a smooth fre~
quency response characteristic. The resultant
sound is characterized by low harmonic, inter-
modulation and transient distortion, as well as
the high degree of transparency and resolution
that are obtainable onlyfrom2-way headphones.
SEPARATELY ADJUSTABLE TONE OUALI-
TY: The 88-20, equipped with a tone control
offering an ideal high frequency attenuation
characteristic in each headphone, makes it pos-
sible to compensate for any undesireable factors
in sources right at the ears, such as scratchy
noise from old, worn records or tape hiss.
SEPARATELY ADJUSTABLE VOLUME CON-
TROLS: Forget about having to go over to the
amplifier every time you want to adjust volume.
The 88-20 is equipped with separate right and
left volume controls which may also be used to
adjust the balance between stereo channels to
the proportion of original sound.

8-FOOT COILED CORD WITH EXTENSION:
The 88-20 features an 8-foot telephone-type
coiled cord to connect headphones to amplifier
or receiver. Curled. it is free from entangle-

tension cord which is also provided, in order to
let you sit even further from the amplifier. The
extension cord is equipped with dual jacks so
that-with the addition of another headphone
set-two people can enjoy the same stereo pro-
gram together.

UNIFORM CHARACTERISTICS: Any differ-
ences in tone quality and output sound pressure
level between the left and right headphones
have been minimized, so that perfectly balanced
stereo sound is achieved. Unlike a speaker sys-
tem, the headphones keep the left and right
channel sounds separate until you hear them,
for a more realistic stereo effect.

PRESSURE-FREE EAR PADS: The exception-
ally soft ear pads eliminate once and for all the
uncomfortable pressure feeling created by so
many headphone sets. The 88-20 pads. made
of soft vinyl-chloride, can be worn for hours
without causing the least fatigue.
STANDARD STEREO PLUG: The 85-20 is
equipped with a standard stereo plug to permit
its use with stereo amplifiers of any make or
output rating.

TOP WEARING COMFORT: The length of the
head-band can be readily adjusted to fit any
person with the utmost comfort.
