assure that lhe heavy turntable applies only
a minimum of pressure on the spindle's pivot
bearing, a device made of strongerthan-metal

a special oil cup that screws on from the bottom
of the spindle shaft making the need tor oilings

pound. Both are driven by a belt that loops
around the inner platter and are covered by an
antistatic rubber mat that fully supports the re-
cord without charging it With dust-attracting
static electricity.
