double rIrn turntable is directly driven by a belt
to provide smooth revolution over long periods of
continuous use without rumble or noise. This
system allows an excellent llywheel elicct that
enables the player to maintain its Initial perlorm-
ance characteristics lor years. The polyurethane
endless belt is linished by a highrpreCIsion grin-
der and is iinilorm in thickness down to the mic~
ron order. Extremely stable against wowiflutter
and temperature variation, this belt is of the
finest quality to give precrsion perlormance.

STYLING: Sansui has combined simplICIty and
high oeitorniance in the SR72020, then placed
the quality turntable in an atlraclive walnut
cabinet with an acrylic dust cover. It has an
elegant. modern design from its allunilnuni alloy
diecast platter and beautifully curved toriearm,
to Its pressed iron motorboard and oil finished
cabinet.

TUBULAR TONEARM: The $272020 is equip-
ped With a high-sensitivity, nonlresonant type
static balanced tubular tonearm that otters exr
cellent sensitivity as its welght, Irictional ieSIst»
ance and inertia are minimized by design. The
tonearni has a stylus pressure direct reading,
scale that permits accurate setting-s hour 0 to
2.5 grams. A newly-designed inilucetl magnet
tyne cartridge has been incorporated into the
SR-2020. offering more faithful sound reproduc-
tion in the treble range while delivering a voltage
