Precautions

This instruction Manual covers two models.
Some pans of the Manual refer separately to
the D-7SBW and D-7SCW. Read the parts
which apply to the model which you have pur-
chased.

Power plug

When disconnecting the power cord from the

power outlet, do not grasp the cord itself but

the plug. Never connect or disconnect the

power plug with wet hands since you may give

yourself an electric shock.

* Disconnect the power plug from the outlet
when you do not intend to use the unit for
a long time.

Do not remove the case or bottom

panel

Making inspections or adjustments inside the
unit is the cause of trouble and electric shocks.
Do not, under any circumstances, poke about
inside the unit.

Installation precautions

Do not install the unit in the types oi location

given below since the units performance may

deteriorate or trouble may be caused.

0 Locations near heating appliances or other
heat-radiating products, or locations ex-
posed to direct sunlight.

- Locations susceptible to humidity or
moisture.
Poorly ventilated or dusty locations.
Locations susceptible to vibration or loca-
tions on a slope which are unstable.

. Keep the unit away from TV sets to avoid
buzz noise.

Do not use thinners for cleaning
Wipe the panels and case from time to time with
a soft dry cloth. Using thinners, alcohol or
other volatile liquids can spoil the surfacing or
cause blotching on the exterior or partial eras-
ing of characters, and so they should never be
used. Also remember to keep insecticide
sprays away from the unit.

Précautions

Ce mode d'emploi couvre deux modeles. Cer-
taines parties de ce mode d'emploi ne concer-
nant que Ie modele D-7SBW ou que le models
D-7SCW. Consulter les parties qui traitent du
models que Ion a acheté.

Fiche d'alimentation
Lorsque lon débranche le cordon d'alimenta-
tion de la prise dalimentation, ne pas tirer sur
le cordon lui-méme mais sur la fiche. Nejamais
brancher ou debrancher Ia fiche dalimentation
avec des mains humides car on pourrait rece-
voir un choc électrique.

' Débrancher la fiche dalimentation de la
prise d'alimentation lorsque l'on na pas
l'intention dutiliser lappareil pendant un
certain temps.

Ne pas retirer le coffret ou le panneau

du dessous

Le fait de procéder a des verifications ou a des
réglages a l'intérieur de l'appareil peut entrai-
ner des pannes ou des chocs électriques. Ne
jamais, sous aucun prétexte, aller farfouiller a
lintérieur de l'appareil.

Précautions a prendre pour l'instal-

lation

Ne pas installer l'appareil dans des endroits tels

que ceux décrits ci-dessous car cela pourrait

entraver les performances de lappareil ou pro-
voquer des pannes.

- Endroits a proximité d'appareils de chauf-
fage cu autres appareils dégageant de la
chaleur, ou endroits directement exposes
aux rayons du soleil.

Endroits exposes a lhumidité ou a la buée.
Endroits mal aérés ou poussiéreux.
Endroits exposés aux vibrations ou en pente
instable.

0 Ne pas placer Iappareil pres dun poste de
télévision pour éviter les grésillements.

Ne pas utiliser d'amincisseurs pour le
nettoyage

Essuyer de temps en temps les panneaux et le
coffret a l'aide dun chiffon doux et sec. Le fait
d'utiliser des amincisseurs, de lalcool ou tout
autre liquide volatile peut endommager la fini-
tion, faire des taches sur l'extérieur de lappa-
reil ou effacer partiellement les inscriptions. ll
convient done the ne jamais utiliser de tels pro-
duits. Se rappeler également que les insectici-
des en atomiseur ne doivent pas étre utilisés
a proximité de l'appareil.

Vorsichtsmarsnahmen

Diese Betriebsanleitung ist fiir zwei Modelle be-
stimmt. Einige Teile der Betriebsanleitung be-
ziehen sich nur auf das Model] D-758W, amdere
nur auf das Modell D-7 50W. Bitte lesen Sie die
Abschnitte, die fiir lhr Model! gelten.

Netzstecker

Beim Abziehen des Netzkabels nicht arn Kabel
sondern am Stacker ziehen. Niemals den NetZo
stacker mit nassen Handen einstecken oder ab-
ziehen, da Sie sonst einen Stromschlag erleiden
konnen.

* Wenn Sie das Gerat fiir langere Zeit nicht

benutzen, den Netzstecker abziehen.

Weder Gehause noch Bodenplatte
entfernen

Eigenméchtige lnspketionen oder Einstellungen
am Gerateinneren kénnen die Ursache von Std-
rungen oder Stromschlagen sein. Stochern Sie
unter keinen Umsta'nden im Gerateinneren
herum.

VorsichtsmalSnahmen beim Aufstellen

Stellen Sie das Gerét nicht an den nachfolgen-

den Orten auf, da die Leistung sich verschiech-

tern kann oder Storungen auftreten kennen.

I Orte in der Néhe von Heizkbrpern oder son-
stigen W'airmequellen, oder Orte, die direk~
ter Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt sind.

I Orte, die Feuchtlgkeit oder Nasse ausgesetzt
sind.
Schlecht beliiftete oder staubige Orte.
Orte, die Vibrationen aisgesetzt sind, oder
unstabile Orte auf Schrégen.

- Dieses-Ger'at moglichst entfernt von Fern-
sehgeraten aufstellen, um induziertes Brum-
men zu vermeiden.

Zum Reinigen keine Verdiinnungs-

mittel benutzen

Front- und Riickplatte sowie Gehause ab und
zu mit einem weichen, trockenen Lappen ab-
wischen. Verdiinner, Alkohol oder sonstige
leichttluchtige FIUssigkeiten soltten niemals
zum Reinigen benutzt werden, da sie die Ober-
flache angereifen und Kraterbildung auf den Au-
Benwanden oder teilweise Ablésung der
Schriftziige verursachen konnen. Auch sollten
Sie lnsektenspray vom Gerat fernhalten.

PLAY OFF REC

Timer recording/playback
Combining this unit with a timer allows tapes
to be automatically recorded and played back
at the desired time.

Operation by timer can be performed only on
deck b, so load the cassette tape into that deck.
" Read through the instruction booklet accom-
panying the timer and try a test.

When the recording or playback is complet-
ed and the tape is fully would up, the auto
shut-off function is activated and the tape
stops running. The power is not cut off un-
til the timer is set OFF.

Timer recording

1. Set the power switch on the components
required for recording to ON.

2. Tune in the broadcast station on the tuner.

3. Set the timer so that the power is supplied
at the desired time. This action switches off
the power to all the components.

4. Set the TIMER switch to the REC position.

5. Power is supplied to the components at the
time set on the timer. and recording begins.

Timer playback
Set the power switch on the components
required for play to ON.

2. Play back the tape and adjust the volume us-
ing the amplifier's volume control.

3. Set the timer so that the power is supplied
at the desired time. This action switches off
the power to all the components.

4. Set the TIMER switch to the PLAY position.

5. Power is supplied to the components at the

time set on the timer, and playback begins.

When the timer is not being used, set the

switch to the OFF position. If the power is

switched on with the timer switch at REC,
recording will begin and the previously
recorded material will be erased.

Enregistrement/Iecture avec

minuterie

Si lon utilise cet appareil en parallele avec une
minuterie, el est possible denregistrer et de lire
les bandes automatiquement a lheure voulue.
Le fonctionnement par programmateur n'est
poSSible que sur la platine b; on introduira donc
la cassette dans cette platine.

* Lire jusquau bout Ie mode d'emploi qui
accompagne la minuterie et procéder a un
essaL

Lorsque l'enregistrement ou la lecture est
terminée et que la bande sest complete-
ment enroulée sur la bobine, Ia fonction
d'arret automatique entre en action et le
défilement de la bande cesse. Lalimenta-
tion ne se coupe que lorsque la minuterie
alle-meme se met hors tension.

Enregistrement avec minuterie .

1. Mettre sous tension les composants neces-
saires a un enregistrement.

2. Accorder la station de radio sur le tuner.

3. Régler la minuterie de sorte que lalimenta-
tion soit fournie a lheure voulue. Ceci met
tous les composants hors tension.

4. Mettre le commutateur de minuterie (TIMER)
sur la position REC.

5. Lalimentation est fournie a tous les com«
posants a lheure réglee sur la minuterie, et
lenregistrement commence.

Lecture avec minuterie

1. Mettre sous tension tous les composants
nécessaires a une lecture.

2. Lire la bande et régler le volume a laide de
la commande de volume de lamplificateur.

3. Régler la minuterie de sorte que lalimenta-
tion soit fournie a lheure voulue. Ceci met
tous les composants hors tension.

4. Mettre Ie comutateur de minuterie (TIMER)
sur la position PLAY.

5. Lalimentation est fournie a tous les com-

posants a lheure réglée sur la minuterie, et

la lecture commence.

Lorsquon ne se sert pas de la minuterie,

mettre le commutateur sur la position OFF.

Si lappareil est mis sous tension alors que

le commutateur de minuterie se trouve sur

REC, l'enregistrement commence et les
signaux enregistrés précédemment
seffacent.

Timer-AufnahmelWiedergabe

Die Kombination dieses Gerétes mit einem

Audio-Timer ermdglicht die automatische Auf-

nahme und Wiedergabe von Bandern zu ieder

gewiinschten Zeit.

Timer- Betrieb ist nur mit Deck b moglich. Da-

her die Cassette in dieses Deck einsetzen.
Die Bedienungsanleitung des Timers sorg-
fa'ltig durchlesen und dann einen Test durch-
fiihren.

" Wenn das Bandende nach beendeter Auf-
nahme oder Wiedergabe erreicht wird, so
wird die automatische Endabschaltungs-
Funktion aktiviert, und der Bandlauf halt an.
Die Stromzufuhr des Gerates wird erst dann
abgeschaltet, wenn der Timer ausgeschal-
tet wird.

Timer-Aufnahme

1. Die Netzschalter aller zur Aufnahme erfor-
derlichen Komponenten einschalten.

2. Die Rundfunkstation auf dem Tuner ab-
stimmen.

3. Den Timer so einstellen, dais die Stromzu-
fuhr zur gewflnschten Zeit beginnt. Durch
diesen Vorgang werden alle anderen Kom-
ponenten ausgeschaltet.

4. Den Timer-Schalter auf die "REC"-Positions
stellen.

5. Zu dem auf dem Timer eingesteilten Zeit-
punkt werden die anderen Komponenten
eingeschaltet, und die Aufnahme beginnt.

Timer-Wiedergabe

1. Die Netzschalter aller zur Wiedergabe erfor-
derlichen Komponenten einschalten.

2. Das Band abspielen und die Lautstarke mit
dem Lautstarkeregler des Verstarkers
wunschgemals einstellan.

3. Den Timer so einstellen, dais die Stromzu-
fuhr zur gewfinschten Zeit beginnt. Durch
diesen Vorgang werden alle anderen Kom-
ponenten ausgeschaltet.

4. Den Timer-Schalter auf die PLAY-Position
stellen.

5. Zu dem auf dem Timer eingestellen Zeit-
punkt werden die anderen Komponenten
eingeschaltet, und die Wiedergabe beginnt.

* Den Schalter auf die OFF"-Position stellen,
wenn dier Timer nicht benutzt wird. Wird
das Gerét mit dem Timer-Schalter auf
REC"-Position eingeschaltet, so beginnt
die Aufnahme, und die frilihere Aufzeich-
nung wird geloscht.
