RR-970 SYSTEM REMOTE CONTROL

RR-970 is the system remote control from Rotel. This remote will operate all current 900 Series
Rotel remote controllable components. To use the RR-97O it is necessary to set the Program
Codes for your individual Rotel components. The following list will show the code settings for
Initial Set Up of the RR-970. Please set the RR-970 for your system needs. These codes set
the commands for each section of the controls on the various Rotel components.

A. Amplifier or preamplifier model number and code setting
A1: RTC-940AX. RTC-950AX. RX-950AX.

A2: RA-9858X, RA-945, RC-995, RTC-970. 1::P

The RR-970 'is initially preset to operate the following items: gag. 5. dl.

To set the RR-970 for operation with other components will require D D D D

the new components code to be entered into the RR-970. This is

easily done. To select Remote Codes for:

STANDBY(AMP). used to set codes for amplifiers.

TUNER, used to set codes for tuners. %-/

CD, used to set codes for CD players.

TAPE 1, used to set codes for cassette decks.

SIMULTANEOUSLY press the letter and number listed with your Rotel model to set the
command codes for your Rotel component. For example: To set the CZ to operate the RCD-
94OBX, press CD and Number 2 at the same time. This will set the RR-970 to control the RCD-
94OBX.

The numbered buttons 0-9 on RR-970 are Direct Access Keys for the Tuner or CD players.
Press Tuner and then choose preset stations. Press CD and choose track numbers for a CD.
To access a number higher than 10 requires the following steps for RCD-930AX. RT-940AX,
and RT-9903X (CS. B1, and B4): Press the +10 button and then press the button that equals
the remainder of the track number you want. Example: Press +1 0 and then 3 = 13.

For ROD-97OBX, ROD-975, and ROD-94OBX (C1, 02) Press 1 and then 3 = 13. (Not +10.)

For the Tuner section of RX-950AX, RTC-950AX and RTC-940AX (B1), the +10 button does
not work. To access higher than 8, press 9 (Button 9 = +8) and then the remainder of the
number you want. Example: Button 9 + 5 = 13. Button 9 + 1 = 9.
