WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE
The SC-700 employs a direct-coupled, 3»
stage negative feedback circuitry and quality
silicon transistors assuring correct equaliza-
tion or compliance to the RIAA Standard,
and effectively reduces clipping. The result
is more natural sound at any volume level
and wide dynamic range.
EASY CARTRIDGE COMPARISON
The SC-700 has two phono inputs for mag-
netic cartridge operation to allow you to
compare and evaluate the tonal quality of
different cartridges.
CONVENIENT MODE SELECTOR
The mode selector allows a choice of five
modes of operation; reverse, stereo, left
channel only, right channel only, and left
and right channels combined in each speaker.

IMPROVED TONE CONTROL SYSTEM
There are 3-dB step controls for both bass
and treble. Their ranges have been deter-
mined by Pioneer's long acquaintance with
the musical tastes of high fidelity enthusiast.
FET's are included in the tone control cir<
cuit. There is no level fluctuation of mid-
range frequencies while tone is being adjust-
ed.

HEADPHONE CONVENIENCE
The SC-700 may be monitored with a head-
set, to check the condition of the system and
the tonal quality while making recordings
with the use of the tape monitor switch on
the front panel. And headphones, of course,
let you listen in private when this is more
convenient, without main amplifier and
speakers.
MUTlNG SWITCH
The 80-700 is provided with a muting switch
to attenuate the level of sound by 20 dB, or
at least a half turn of the volume control -
handy when the phone suddenly rings, for
example, without using the volume control
knob.
CLEAN STYLING
The controls are elegantly and efficiently
laid out, and the panel is tipped with at-
tractive wooden endpieces. The unit blends
perfectly with Pioneers main amplifier
Model SMV700.
