All-electronic direct-drive turntable with brushless DC servo motor,
and supersensitive S-shaped tonearm.

Pioneers new direct-drive PL-71 is a quiet turntable and vir-
tually vibration-tree. The brushless DC servo motor directly
rotates the platter without belts or rim idlers. meaning vibration-
causing iactors are eliminated. This sophisticated direct-drive
system and all-electronic DC servo control reduce wow and
ilutter to less than 0.05% (WRMS). and boosts signal-to-noise
ratio to better than 60dB -iigures which place the PL-71 in the
very top ranks at today's hi-ii turntables. And its built-in strobo-
scope gives you visible prooi oi its accuracy. Supporting this
quality is its supersensitive S-shaped ionearm. developed by

Pioneer to periorm pe y at light tracking pressures (0.59
and up) and ideal ior stereo or 4-channel use. The tonearm is
proiessional throughout. with a lateral balancer. an anti-skating
control. direct-readout stylus pressure scale. oihdamped cue-
