\ 1. Laser Interlock Mechanism
The position of the switch (8601) for detecting loading
© completion is detected by the system microprocessor.
L ' and the design prevents laser diode oscillation when the
0 switch (8601) is not in CEMP terminal side (when
CLMP signal is OFF. that is high level).
Thus. the interlock will no longer function if the switch
A ; - = (8601) is deliberately set to WP terminal side (it
. : CEMP signal is low level).
The interlock also does not operate In the test mode*.
Laser diode oscillation will continue. if pin 1 of
f M51593FP (IC10I) on the preamplifier board loaded on
i
E
pickup assembly are connected to GND. or pin 19 is
connected to low level (ON). or else the terminals of
0101 are shorted to each other (fault condition).

E 2. When the cover is opened, close viewing of the
l objective lens with the naked eye will cause exposure
to a Class 1 laser beam.
