Instructions

Thank you for buying this Pioneer product.

Please read through these operating instructions and then you
will know how to operate your model properly. After you have
finished reading the instructions, put them away in a safe
place for future reference.

These operating instructions are based on the model HE, and
they can be used for the HB, YP, KU, KC, 5, SS, S/G
models. The differences between the models are given below.

HE model:
For Europe ('HE stamped on packing casel: power line
voltage is a.c. 220 volts N.

HB model:
For UK. ('HB stamped on packing case): power line
voltage is a.c. 240 volts ~ .

YP model:
For Australia (YP stamped on packing case): power line
voltage is a.c. 240 volts ~.

KU and KC models:
For U.S.A.lKU) and CanadalKCl l'KU or 'KC' stamped
on packing case): power line voltage is AC 120 volts.

S. 5/6 and 55 models:
For destinations excluding above (8 S/G or 85
stamped on packing case); A 4-point (AC 110/120/220/240
V) voltage selector switch is provided.

IMPORTANCE NOTICE (KU model only)

The serial number for this equipment is located on the rear panel,
Please write this serial number on your enclosed warranty card and
keep in a secure area. This is for your security.

KU (for U.S.A.) and KC (for Canada) models are not pro-
vided with LINE VOLTAGE SELECTOR switch.

LINE VOLTAGE SELECTOR SWITCH

[Only S, SS and 8/6 models are provided with
this switch, but KU, KC and other models (HE.
HB, YP) are not provided with this switch.)

Check that the indication of the switch is same as your

residence area before plugging the power cord into the outlet.

lf it isn't or if you move to an area where the voltage re-

quirements.differ, change the switch setting as follows.

Before adjusting, disconnect the power cord.

1, Prepare a medium size screwdriver.

2. Insert the screwdriver into the groove of the selector
switch and turn it so that the power voltage marking of
your area points to the white mark.

operating and maintenance (servicing) ina

the appliance.

IMPORTANT

To prevent electric shock, do not remove cover. No user set»

minals in your plug proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the ter-
minal which is marked with the letter L or coloured redo

Equipment sold in the U.K. is not supplied with a power
plug.
