meter and may vary : l0% from the figures quoted
They are measured from the socket points quoted to chassis, or across the resistors listed, The receiver should be in
a "no signal" condition.
MAINS VOLTAGE ADJUSTMENTv
The power trarulorrner is provided with two mains

tor adjustment to the supply voltage at the paint of

it it is required to correct dial calibration for an equal
error on all stations, provision ix made lur moving the
cursor assembly with resoect to the dial cord Loosen
the clamping screw, make the necessary adjustment to
the cursor position and womanly retlghten the clamping
screw. This operation can he carried out without the
need to remov. the chassis {mm the cabinet.
be made. Then, when trimming is being carried out,
the cores should not be screwed in beyond thl first
peak. Metallic tools should not be usad fur I.F. trans-
former trim .
Damped alignment of the LP. channel is necesnry.
The procedure is:-
(a) Connect a 100 pF capacitor across the secondary
of the lst l.F.T.
lbi Trim in order, secondary of 2nd I.F.T., primary or
2nd LFtT. and primary at Ist I.F.T.
lci Check lb).
ldi Remove the shunt from the secondary of the lst
i.F.T. and trim this circuit.
iel Chock ldl.
TO REMOVE CHASSIS FROM CABINET. it) Do not alter adjustments without I00 pF shunt in
Remove the power plug from the mpply outlet socket position.
Remove the tour control knobs (a film pull is all that is
necessary) and the cabinet back. The chassis is held
to the cabinet by two screws In the battle and four
screws thruugh the bottom at the cabinet Removal of
these six screws enables the diassis to be withdrawn
from the cabinet.
The chassis may be replacad by a reversal of the above
procedure.
ALIGNMENT.
The iron core: for the secondaries ot the LP. trans-
formers are located in the top of the cans, those for the
primaries are in the bottom of the cans, When trim-
ming the LF. circuits can should be taken not to screw
the iron cores in too tar otherwise undesired coupling

to the outer edge of the former of all iron can: should

scale can be made up from workshop materials and fixed
to a convenient point on the tuning rapacltor mounllrlq
bracket. The various markings on the scale are (read-
ing in an anti-clockwise direction) :-
