INFORMATION

The Model MP9EL and ER is a
four»speed portable monaural
phonograph.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Power Supply: 120 volt, 6!) cycle AC
only.

Power Consumption: 20 watts.

SERVICE NOTES

LI N E COR~>D REVERSAL -,For
minimum hum, insert line cord plug in
both positions. Leave it in the position
that provides minimum hum.

OPERATING AMPLlFlER WITH
LOAD - Always operate the amplifier
with an output load (either the
speakers or an 16 ohm, 1 watt resistive
load).

schematic diagram.

RECORD PLAYER REMOVAL
3. Remove C" washer from spindle.

Lift turntable out by placing fingers
on opposite sides of turntable.

2. Remove four screws holding motor
mount to cabinet.

3. Pull off speed selector arm knob.
4. Remove by lifting motor mount
assembly up at an angle so that the

speed selector arm will come free.

CHASSIS R EMOVAL

1. Remove four screws from bottom
panel of set and lift out panel.

2. Remove three screws which secure
chassis to cabinet.

3. Unsolder leads to speaker; leads to
tone arm need not be unsoldered.

STYLUS REPLACEMENT
T O REMOVE STYLUS

1. Lift tone arm to a vertical position.

2. Grasp stylus with fingers and with a
gentle motion, twist stylus so the tip
end raises up and the rear portion
snaps out from under the retaining
clip.

TO REPLACE STYLUS

1. Holding new stylus in position,
gently push rear of stylus under
retaining clip until it snaps in position.

2. Make sure flanges on stylus fit
properly on pad in the cartridge.

3. Return tone arm to normal
position.

CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT

1. Lift tone arm in vertical position.
2. Fry front of cartridge holder away
from cartridge. Carefully remove
cartridge.

3. Disconnect two phonograph leads
from rear of cartridge.

4. Reverse procedure to replace.
