introduction of our Universal Sustain
Pedal (USP). The USP is a momentary-
contact switch mounted in a sleek, low-
profile pedal enclosure. The USP is de-
signed for use with the external "sustain"
connection found on most electronic
keyboards and rack-mount MIDI voice
modules. The Universal Sustain Pedal Is
also suitable for any application requiring
a foot-actuated momentary switch. such
as sequencers and drum machines. I

The key to the versatility of the USP lies
in making both normally'open and nor-
mally-closed switch contacts available
through two standard II: inch jacks
mounted on the rear of the pedal:
eliminating the problem of having a sus-
tain pedal that is not compatible to all
equipment because of the switch con-
tacts. A standard guitar cable will con-
nect the US? to the device being control-
led. This gives the USP a valuable benefit ®
over footswitches with permanently-
attached cords: if a connection fails.
simply replace the cable, not the pedal.
