T H A N K Y O U ! For purchasing a Morley® pedal. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the features of your new pedal. With common sense handling, it should last for years. We know you will appreciate the rugged construction of your Morley®. Most of all, we hope you enjoy using it as much as we enjoyed building it. A C A D A PTER Use Morleys 9-volt DC 300 milliamp regulated adapter only. Using a non-regulated adapter could cause a low frequency hum in your amplifier and may damage the pedal. B A T TERY The ECHO PLUS is designed to use one 9 volt battery when not using an adapter. We suggest you use a good quality alkaline battery. To prolong battery life, unplug your cord completely from the input jack when not using the pedal. When the pedal is not used for extended periods, we recommend you remove the battery from the pedal or replace it every six month to prevent leakage problems. C O N N EC TIO N S 9V: Connect Morley 9 volt regulated 300 mA adapter to this jack. INPUT: Input jack. Plug instrument into this jack using 1/4 guitar cable. OUTPUT (MONO): Used when not using the stereo output jack. Connect amplifier to this jack using a 1/4 guitar cable. OUTPUT (STEREO): Used for stereo applications. Connect a second amplifier to this jack using a 1/4 guitar cable. NOTE: Youll find cords fits very tightly into our input and output jacks. The tight fits helps prevent the cord from becoming accidentally unplugged from the pedal. Make sure the cords are completely plugged in for best results. C O N TR O LS The Echo-Plus control are divided up into two sections: Echo related and Chorus Related. To explain, lets focus on one effect at a time. ECHO RELATED (see diagram #1): A. EFFECT ON/OFF SWITCH: Turns on and off the effects. B. EFFECT LED: Lights up when effects switch is engaged. C. ECHO DELAY CONTROL: Controls the amount of delay time from 0 to 300 milliseconds. D. ECHO REPEATS CONTROL: Adjusts the amount of repeats the ECHO will reproduce when a note is played. Ranges from one repeat to multiple repeats. E. TREADLE CONTROL: In ECHO mode the treadle controls the MIX. The MIX adjusts the blend of the original signal and effected signal. REFER TO THE SAMPLE SETTINGS SECTION OF THIS MANUAL FOR HINTS. DIAGRAM #1 CHORUS RELATED (see diagram #2): F. CHORUS/VIBRATO ON/OFF SWITCH: Switches between ECHO (LED off) and CHORUS (LED on) effects. G. CHORUS LED: Lights up when CHORUS effect is engaged. In Chorus mode you will notice the LED blinks in real time with the speed of the Chorus. When LED is off, ECHO mode is active H. CHORUS DEPTH: Controls the mix of original signal and effected signal. I. TREADLE CONTROL: In CHORUS mode, the treadle controls the SPEED. The SPEED increases or decreases the speed of the Chorus. REFER TO THE SAMPLE SETTINGS SECTION OF THIS MANUAL FOR HINTS. DIAGRAM #2 B A T TERY REPLA C EM EN T When the battery becomes weak, the overall effect will become weak and your signal may become slightly distorted. Remove the battery door located on the bottom of the pedal. (a short cord is attached to the door to help prevent loss. Once the door is off, the old battery can be removed from the battery snap and a new battery plugged in. Make sure the polarity (+/-) is correct before inserting the new battery. When you replace the battery door , you will notice it fits very tightly against the battery. This prevents the battery from rattling inside the pedal.
