PRECAUTIONS

1. GENERAL

CONNECT ONLY TO YOUR A.C. POWER SUPPLY
The AC power supply reourred by this unit is
marked on the rear panel. Connection to any other
power source may damage this unit and cause
severe electrical shock,

DO NOT PLUG IN OR UNPLUG THE POWER CORD
WITH WET HANDS

There is great danger ol severe electrical shock il
the power cord is plugged in or unplugged wrth
wet hands Do not attempt to unplug the cord lrom
an A C, outlet by pulling the cord Always grasp the
plug itsell firmly to remove it lrom theA C outlet.

HANDLE THE POWER CORD WITH CARE

2. LOCATION

AVOID PLACEMENT lN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. NEAR
AIR CONDITIONER. ETC.

This unit can be adversely allected by operation at
unusually high or low temperatures Place in awell
ventilated area lor proper heat dissipation Avoid
placement in direct sunlight. near air conditioners.
in poorly ventilated areas or in areas ol excess
humidity or dust Do not block the ventilation
holes

3. CONNECTIONS

BE SURE TO TURN THE POWER OFF WHILE MAK-
ING CONNECTIONS TO OTHER COMPONENTS
This is to prevent damage to the speakers lrom lhe

and unplugging connections to other components

BE VERY CAREFUL TO MAKE THE CORRECT CON~
NECTIONS

BE VERY CAREFUL TO MAKE SECURE CONNEC-
TIONS

Improperly connected plugs may become loose or
disconnected, resulting in hum and other neise ll
not corrected. deterioration ol sound quality and
damage to the speakers may result

USE ONLY SHIELDED CORDS FOR THE LEADS
Use only shielded cords lor interconnecting com-
ponents Do not use cords longer than 2m (about
6) Excesswe cord lengths can degrade high he-
quency response and may pick up interlerence
that Will produce hum or noise

IF YOU CONNECT TWO PAIRS OF SPEAKERS.
BOTH PAIRS SHOULD BE OPERATED AT THE
SAME TIME ONLY IF THEIR COMBINED IMPE-
DANCE IS 4 OHMS OR MORE

So. lor 8-ohm speakers, the combined impedance
would be (8* 8)/l8+8l or 4 ohms. which is a
