2NTRODUCTION Thank you for buying this Linn product. As with all our products, the LinnPOWERTEK power amplifier was designed and manufactured to outperform the competition. You will find that it is capable of excellent sound performance when partnered with other high quality components. The POWERTEK is made with top quality components and is thoroughly tested before it leaves our factory. The POWERTEK is ideally suited for use with the Linn PRETEK or other high quality preamplifiers. Input/Output facilities are provided that allow convenient use of the POWERTEK in systems that require multiple power amplifiers. When used with a Linn INTEK integrated amplifier, the POWERTEK provides a convenient and cost effective method of improving system performance through passive bi-amplification. INSTALLATION Unpack the amplifier and retain the packing for future use. Ensure that the amplifier isearthed and that adequate ventilation is provided. Position the amplifier far enough away from the turntable to avoid hum.I

WARNINGTHIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED IMPORTANTThe wires in the mains load are coloured in accordance with the following code: Green-and-yellow:Earth Blue:Neutral Brown:Live As the colours of the wires in the mains load of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The wire, which is coloured green-and-yellow, must be connected to the terminal in the plug, which is marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol or coloured green or green-and-yellow. The wire, which is coloured blue, must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the letter N or coloured black. The wire, which is coloured brown, must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the letter L or coloured red.CONTENTS
