The RT20 is Lexicons topoftheline universal disc player. Designed to pro vide superior audio and video performance with virtually any of the 5inch optical media discs, it supports DVDVideo, DVDAudio, DVDR/W, SACD, CD, CDR/W, MP3, JPEG,Video CD and SVCD. The RT20 takes the universal disc player to a new level with a HighDefinition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), builtin video processing, and extremely precise DACs. HDMI provides direct uncompressed digital video transmission to compatible display devices delivering pristine images free from the deterioration associat ed with analog conversion and interfaces. Highquality video processing can convert video to 720p or 1080i for the HDMI output to drive a HDTV com patible display. HDMI also carries Dolby Digital ®, DTS ®, MPEG and PCM digi tal audio. The R T20 includes composite and Svideo output connectors, as well as pr o gr essiv escan component video outputs on RCA and professionalgrade BNC connectors. These interfaces are fed by highprecision 14bit/216MHz video DACs, ensuring the cleanest possible conversion. The Video Adjust f eature allo ws for exact, detailed adjustment of video set tings such as Pr ogressive Motion, sharpness, white, black, gamma, hue, and chroma levels, as well as luminance (DNR) and chrominance (CNR) noise reduction.The Progressive Motion feature automatically converts film sources r ecorded at 24 framespersecond to 60 framespersecond to create a more natural picture. The RT20 offers three banks of Video Adjust settings for stor age of user defined settings. In addition to HDMI, digital audio is available on three output connectors – one S/PDIF coaxial, one S/PDIF optical, and one AES/EBU – allowing for exter nal decoding and processing of Dolby Digital, DTS, and PCM sources. Alternatively, builtin 24bit/192kHz DACs on all six analog audio outputs allows highresolution formats such as DVDAudio and SACD to deliver smooth, expansive analog output without sample rate conversion or word length reduction. The RT20 features serial control via RS232 for full integration into third party control systems. It also offers a rear panel infrared (IR) input, a trigger input, and an optional rack mount kit, making it easy to incorporate the RT20 into the finest home theaters.
