Krell Master Series products represent the
ultimate realization of Krell design and engineering. The
Master Reference Amplifier is the result of a truly unfet-
tered design effort that defines the category of Master.
Through the rigorous process of designing Master Series
products, Krell engineers are able to forge the techniques
that make the Class A and KAV lines possible.

Class A power amplifier design has been a
Krell tradition since the companys inception
in 1980. Class A Series components are per-
formance leaders in their respective product
categories. Featuring incomparable build
quality and superior circuit topologies, Class
A products are the driving force of reference
quality audio systems worldwide.

KAV Series products incorporate the core
elements of Krell engineering to deliver

TECHNOLOGIES & INNOVATIONS

Krell Architech Construction

Krell Architech construction is a Krell mechanical design cri-
terion that ensures each Krell product meets the highest
standards of structural integrity. Chassis material of robust,
heavy gauge aluminum provides long life and durability as
well as a distinctive look and feel. High tolerance machin-
ing and liberal use of flight-certified fasteners reduce or
eliminate undesirable vibrations. Built to last a lifetime,
Krell products with Architech construction enhance your lis-
tening experience every time you use them.

Krell CAST

CAST, Current Audio Signal Transmission, is a Krell propri-
etary technology for connecting analog components that
provides the most accurate signal transfer from one com-
ponent to the next. It utilizes the sonic purity of current and
eliminates signal degradation caused by cable interaction
while transmitting signals in voltage.

Krell Current Mode

A topology designed by Krell and used in amplifier, pream-
plifier, and source components circuitry to ensure accurate
signal reproduction. The gain stages achieve high current
drive capability without resorting to large signal transistors
that invariably increase noise and distortion.

Krellcoat Finish

For twenty years Krell has been designing components that
set the standard not only for audio engineering but also for
innovative aesthetic design. Krells experience and knowl-
edge has been distilled into a new process called Krellcoat
finish. Krellcoat finish gives Krell components a look that is
timeless, with a feel that is inviting-and built to last.

Sustained Plateau Bias II

A patented microprocessor control system that maintains
Class A bias operation regardless of the musical demand.
Class A bias is the most accurate method used to amplify
musical signals. Sustained Plateau Bias l| maximizes an
amplifiers efiiciency both in power consumption and heat
generation.

Theater Throughput

The unique Theater Throughput feature facilitates easy inte-
gration of Krell stereo preamplifiers and integrated ampli-
fiers into home theater systems. in Theater Throughput
mode, the main output signal from an external surround
sound processor bypasses the volume and balance con-
trols, providing a direct connection to the amplifiers pow-
ering the front left and right speakers.
