Troubleshooting Guide

What might seem to be a malfunction in your unit
mayjust be the result of slight misoperation or
miswiring. Before calling service, first check the
following table for possible problems

General

? The power does not turn ON.

I/ The fuse has blown,
I? After checking for short circurts in the Wires,
replace the fuse with one with the same
rating

. Theres a source you can't switch.
I/ Theres no media inserted.

I? Set the media you Want to listen to, lftheres
no media in this unit, you cant sWitch to each
source

I/ The Disc changer isnt connected.

I? Connect the Disc changer. lfthe Disc changer
isnt connected to its input terminal, You cant
switch to an external disc source.

. The memory is erased when the ignition is
turned OFF.
V The ignition and battery wire are incorrectly
connected
K? Connect the Wire correctly, referring to the
section on

The TEL mute function does not work.
I/ The TEL mute Wire is not connected properly.
K? Connect the Wire correctly, referring to the

The TEL mute function turns 0N even though the
TEL mute wire is not connected.
I/ The TEL mute Wire is touching a metal part ofthe
car,
I? Pull the TEL mute wire away from the metal
part of the car.

I? The Touch Sensor Tone cant be output from
the preout jack.
