Note on rechargeable batteries
The rechargeable batteries should be recharged when they are used for the first time, when
they have not been used for a long period or when the battery indicator blinks. The fully-
charged status can be attained after about 2 hours of recharging. Be sure to use the provided
rechargeable batteries or the optional NB-88. Never use rechargeable batteries other than

- Recharging is not possible during playback. Be sure to
set the power OFF before starting recharging.
0 The rechargeabie batteries can be recharged and re-
used for around 500 times. When the possible play-
back penod decreases. purchase the optional NB-BS
rechargeable batteries.
- Be sure to close the top cover of the unit before
proceeding to recharging.
ATTENTION
Nickel-Cadmium battery rnust recycled or dis-
posed of properly.
State laws may very regarding the handling and
disposal of Nickel-Cadmium batteries.

- If batteries are recharged before they are completely

the properties of rechargeable batteries. If this occurs.
try to recharge batteries after they have become emp<

- Rechargeable batteries cannot be recharged while the
external battery case is attached.

Auto power-Off function
If no operation key has been pressed for 3 minutes while the unit
is in the stop mode. the power is turned OFF automatically to
prevent battery power consumption.
