stereo cassette deck. Read this instruction
book carefully before starting operation to
be sure of getting optimum performance and
longer service life from the unit.

0 MPX FILTER switch
The MPX filter functions when the tape is
recorded using the Dolby NR system.
Normally, set this switch to OFF. When an
FM stereo broadcast is to be recorded using
Dolby NR, set this to ON to prevent the
Dolby NFI circuit from malfunctioning
(otherwise the sound quality could deterio-
rate).

0 INPUT SELECT switches and indicators
Pres: these to set to the input you want to
record. The corresponding indicator will
light:

CD DIRECT:

When recording directly from a CD player)
DIRECT:

When recording directly from other equip-
ment.

LINE:

When recording from a stereo amplifier.

Q MONITOR button
When recording, set to SOURCE to monitor
the sound just before it is recorded. Set to
TAPE to monitor the sound recorded on the
tape. (See page 35)

0 BIAS adjust control
Adiust recording bias according to the
characteristics of the tape used for record-
ing. (See page 23.)

0 BALANCE control
Adjusts the balance between the signals
input via the left and right LINE IN jacks.
(See page 23.)

® RESET button
Press to reset the tape counter to "0000".

0 DISPLAY button
Select the mode of the digital counter. The
tape counter will be indicated when the
power is first switched on. Press this button
to select the tape remaining time display.

0 WX-Flitonchnltor IMPX FILTER)

Dolby-Reuschunterdriickung vorgesehen. In

(endemfalls kann es zu Kiangqualitétsbe-
eintrachtigungen kommen). Andernfalls euf
OFF steilen.

Aufnahme von einem Stereo-Versta'rker.

0 Toniherwadlungsuste (MONITOR)
Bei Aufnahme wird bei Position SOURCE
dar Ton der Signalqueile gehért. Bei Posi-
tion TAPE wird das aufgezeichnete Signal
(Hinterbandkontrolle) wiedergegeben.

Q Vormamotisiomngsreglor (BIAS)
Die Vormagnetisierung emsprechend den
Kenndaten der verwendeten Bandsorte
einstellen. (Siehe Seite 23.)

D Balancereglor (BALANCE)
Fiir die Regelung der Balance zwischen den
linken und rechten LINE IN-Buchsen. (Siehe
Seite 23.)

e Rt'ickstclltaita (RESET)
Fiir die Biickstellung des Bandfihlwerks auf
Anzeige "0000".

@ Anzeigetaste (DISPLAY)
Fi'tr die Funktionsvorwahl des digitalen
Zéhlwerks. Naoh Einschaltung des Gerats ist
auf Bandzéhlwerk geschaltet. Zur Umschal-
tung auf Restzeitanzeige diese Taste
betétigen.
