ON: Press to turn the power on. During the
first 3 or 4 seconds alter the POWER
switch is turned on, no sound will be
heard until you hear a click"ol the relay
operation. This is not due to any detect
in the unit. The built-in power protection
circuit operates to mute the switching
noise [or speaker protection.

When the power cord is plugged into the
AC outlet, the standby indicator

This LED lights when the POWER switch is pressed to
ON.

Headphone jack (PHONES)

Plug stereo headphones into this jack lor private listen-
ing and recording monitoring.

SPK-1 switch

Press to swttch the speakers connected to the SPEAK-
ER SYSTEM 1 terminals on or ofl.

Press to switch the speakers connected to the SPEAK-
ER SYSTEM 2 terminals on or oil.

FM MUTING switch

The PM muting circurt selects the strongest signal at a
given frequency and filters out the weaker signals to
improve FM reception. Press this switch to ON In
strong signal areas to eliminate interstation noise and
unwanted signals. Leave this switch in its out" (OFF)
position if FM reception is substandard due to insufli~
ctent Signal strength.
