These headphones give the effect of a 4-channel
sound field created by speakers in the four
corners of y0ur room. They're 2-channel com-
patible, of c0urse, but as well as being able to
play your 2channel stereo collection thrOugh
them this gives the added advantage of lowering
distortion in 2-channel play.

4-Channel/2-Channel Compatible

The best and most private 4-channel and 2~chan-
nel stereo sound in the world today. The mini-
speakers are wired like two pairs of stereo
speakers; one pair at the front and one pair at
the rear. So with this headphone set you get the
whole big world of 4-channel sound. Or 2-
channel sound with more brilliance that you
have ever heard it before. Whichever way you
look at it, these headphones are a bargain.

Z~Channel Switch

With the headphone switch set for 2-channel
you provide a 2-channel signal and the 5844
headphones divide it and use it to drive the two
speaker units in each earpiece. This means that
to get the same power output you only have to
put in half as much signal. 80 distortion is re
duced and you get better sound.

Dome-Shaped Diaphragm

The four moving coils drive dome-shaped dia-
phragms which, because of their omnidirection-
al structure, give undistorted sound over a wide
range of frequencies. From 20 to 20,000Hz the
highs, mid-range and bass are perfectly balanced.
The tangentially corrugated edge keeps mechani-
cal stresses down to low values even when signal
strength is high, and gives rich, distortion-free
lows.

Easy-to-wear

You can wear these headphones for hours with-
out noticing anything except the s0und. With
the adjustable headband and earcups, you can
make them tit y0u so well that you won't know
youre wearing them. You can't feel the cush-
ioning on the headband and the earcups are
perfect for comfort and keeping the scund
where you want it, right by your ear. With these
headphones you wont get leakage, you wont
loose those deep, deep lows.
