There are two primary factors that control the tonality of sound. One
IS the attack and sustain of the envelope and the other is the
arrangement of the harmonics. The CP10 is designed to control the
attack and sustain of the envelope.
Compressors and limiters are usually used for recording. Usual pedal
type compressors break the attack and make the sound dull. The
CP10 can increase the sustain while keeping the attack natural. It
also exhibits ultra low noise qualities (>107dBv). so that it is as at
home in the studio at it is live.

Es gibt zwei grundsatzliche Faktoren, die die Klangfarbe eines Sounds
bestimmen. Das eine ist Einschwingszeit (engl. Attack) und das Abklin-
nen (engl, Sustain) derHLillkurvo, das andere ist die Zusammensetzung
der Obertbne. Der CP 10 wurde entwickelt, um den Attack und das
Sustain oer Hullkurve zu regeln.
Compressor und Limiter sind Gerate, die normalerweise zu Aufnahme-
zwecken im Studio verwendet werden. Gewdhnliche Pedal-Kompres-
sor Eflekte schneiden den Attack ab und erzeugen einen dumpten
Sound. Der CP 10 kann das Sustain verléngern und den Attack natUrlich
halten.
AuBerdem bietet der Compressor sehr extrem niedrige Nebengerau-
sche ( -107 dBV). so daB er sowohl Im Studio als auch Live Verwen-
dung finden kann.
