confidence this brochure covering the current Garrard
range.

A feature comparison chart is provided to enable a ready
assessment to be made of the various models.
Illustrations of the complete range. together with a brief
description and dimensions of each unit. are included.
Garrard models are available from your dealer as separate
units or fitted in most makes of complete radiograms and
record players.

conforming to LED. Publication 98. BSt928:1965. and
equivalent national standards.

Pickup Cartridges

In order to maintain the slim-line appearance of the pickup
arms on the Models 3500 and 2025 Tc. clip-In cartridges
having a narrow bracket with single hole fixing must be
used. Cartridges having suitable brackets are Garrard

"GCMZZ-T. GKM24-T and GKSZS-T.

Models 1025 and 2025 will accept cartridges with
mounting brackets having 2-hole fixing G (12 mm)
centres] and width not exceeding 0.63" (16 mm].
See price list for those models supplied with pickup
cartridge already fitted.

Note: The actual dimensions of the unit are given and
where applicable Include the rear and side overhang of
the pickup arm.

Clearances required when spring mountings are fitted will
be obtained by adding 1 [12 mm) to all dimensions. This
will give i [6 mm) clearance all round edge of unit and
i (12 mm] above and i (12 mm) below allowing unit to
float freely and to be clamped for transit.

According to the design of cabinet or case. additional
clearance may be required for 12 records and for
removal of record spindle.

Motors: All units are fitted with precision built Garrard
electric motors specially designed to give exceptionally
smooth. silent running. Rotors are dynamically balanced
to a high degree of accuracy. the shafts are specially
hardened and superflnished and the self-aligning
bearings are of oil-retaining sintered bronze.

Motors for the units described on this leaflet can be of
the synchronous. two- or four-pole a.c. induction or
battery~operated d.c. permanent-magnet type. The type
of motor fitted to each unit is shown on the comparison
chart. On induction motors Low Range refers to

100 - 130 volts. High Range to 200 - 250 volts and High
and Low Range combines both by means of a voltage
changeover block. Units fitted with 4-pole induction and
synchronous motors listed as High Range models are
also available as Low Range versions to special order.
On Models 401. SRP 22 and those with Synchro-Lab
motors these ranges are limited to 110 - 125 volts and
220 - 250 volts. Current consumption of induction and
synchronous motors ranges from 8 to 12 watts according
to the model. Frequency can be either 50 or 60 Hertz
which should be specified when ordering.

The Garrard battery-operated motor is of robust
construction and its speed is controlled by a centrifugal
electrical governor. The voltage range is 6.5 V to 9 V dc.
and its average consumption is 50 mA.

Bases

Attractive wood bases are available for certain Garrard units. These bases
are constructed from natural wood and have a matt teak finish.
Instructions for fitting the unit to the base are included.

Leads. cord grips and plugs are not supplied: these should be obtained
from your dealer to suit individual requirements.

Bases are supplied ready cut out for mounting unit.

Types WBi and W85 for Models 1025, 2025. 2025 TC. 3000. 3500.

Covers

Rigid transparent. plastic covers are available if required for the
above-mentioned bases.

Cover SPC4 Mk ll fits both W84 and WBS and units can be played
with this cover in position.

Cover SPC1 to fit W81 is designed to protect the unit from dust when
not in use only.

Spindles and Adapters

For records having 1% [38 mm) diameter centre hole. large record
spindles for automatic and adaptors for manual (single) play are available
as indicated on comparison chart.

Adaptors are available for the SL 75 and SL 95 for playing automatically
10 and 7 records having small centre holes.

Model 1025 W

A compact automatic turntable giving exceptional
value in the low price range.

Has one piece pickup arm and the moulded
tumtable mat is easy to clean. Battery-operated
version available.

Finish: Black and Silver.
