HRUTE FIDELITE

Hill for hi

The ERA 444 has truly earned its share of praise. It embodies the principal
technical advances which have given ERA its international reputation. These
features include the world's slowest-running synchronous turntable motor
giving absolutely constant speed; ERA-patented Flexiprene belt drive; Silent
Bloc mounting, another ERA original; pick-up arm incorporating the new ERA
Frictionles.c Pivot - a unique development; anti-skating bias compensation.
smoke-tinted Plexiglass cover.

The turntable assembly is mounted in an attractive base, with wooden sides.
The overall effect is elegant and restrained.

Its excellent performance-to-price ratio ensures that the ERA 444 is not only
unrivalled in its class; it also compares very favourably with units of far higher
price.

Encouraged by the success of the 444 turntable, ERA developed the Mk 6,
which is supplied without pick-up arm. This enables the user to fit any
high»qua|ity arm he chooses. The turntable is otherwise identical to the 444,
including the ultra-slow, 48-pole synchronous motor, Silent Bloc mounting,

5055

The ERA 5055 has been developed to meet the demands both of the
connoisseur and the purist.

It has features which put it into the highest category of hi-fi technological
achievement, as inspection will confirm.

The unit has a mounting of original design, with suspended twin turntable,
and tubular arm with the ERA Frictionless Horizontal Pivot. A push-in
cartridge assembly ensures total and positive insulation of arm and turntable
mechanism. With this unique technique, ERA has comletely overcome
vibration, rumble and Larsen effect. There is no vibration from the
synchronous motor, due to its very slow speed and the small step-down
gearing needed for the turntable belt. Speed variation at 33 rpm is only
' 0,03%, a remarkable achievement which speaks for itself.

The 5055 is mounted in a metal and wood base, and has a removable, hinged,
smoke-tinted transparent Plexiglass cover.
