Elna prime Tonarmbelance ist Vorauasetzung
ftlr die Einhaltung dar Auflagakraft des Ton-
abnehmersystems Der Tonarm ist nur einmal
auszubalancieren Es emptiehlt sich iedoch.
die Tonarmbalanoe von Zeit zu Zeit zu uber-
pnrfan.

Dar Tonerm wird durch Verschieben des 8a-

)afmewichtesmitdem Dorn irn Tonarmrohr

zunbchst annahernd und durch Drehen des

Balancegewichtes (11) exakt ausbalanCiert

l. Bei noch auf der Tonarmstiitze verriegel-
tam Tonarm den Plattenteller einige Um-
drehungan im Uhrzeigersinn von Hand
drehen.

2. Auflagakraft (10) und Antiskating (13) auf
"0" stellan. Tonarm entriegaln und yon
der Tonarmstiitze abnehmen.

3i Tonarmbalance prufen. Wenn der Tonarm
sich nicht von selbst horizontal einpendelt.
Faststallschraube (12) losen und das
Balanoegawicht mit dem Dom so lange
versohieben. bis sich eine ungefahre Balan-
ce ergibt. Der Dorn des Balancegewichtes
ist dann durch Anziehen der Feststell-
schraube zu arretieren

4. Die exakte Balance des Tonarmes an-
achliefland durch Drehen des Balancege
wichts herstellen,

Der Tonarrn ist ausbalanciert. wenn er frei-
achwebend in horizontaler Lager verblaibt.
dh. weder unten noch oben anliegt und
aich nach Antippen in vertikaler Richtung
wieder von selbst in die h0rizontale Lage
einpendelt.

Equilibrage du bras de lecture

Un eQuilibrage preas du bras de lecture est la
condition du maintien de la force d'appui de

Le bras est tOut dabord equilibre approxima-
tivement par deplacement du contrepOids
avec la tige dans le tube, puis avec precision
en tournant le oontrepo-ds (11)

support. tourner Ie plateau de quelques
tours dans le sens horai re

2 Amener la force d'appui (10) et le disposi-
tif antiskating (13) sur "0 deverrOuiller
le bras et la retirer do support

3 Contrdler lequilibre du bras Si le bras ne
se stabilise pas horizontalement de M-
méme. dwerrer la VlS de blocage (12) et
deplacer le oontrepoids avec la tige iusqu'a
obtenir on ecuilibre approxmatif. La tige
du contrepOids don ensuite étre fixee par
serrage de la vis de blocage.

4. Enfin, eQuilibrer le bras avec préCision en
tournant le contrepords,

Le bras estequilibre, lorsQu'il reste Iibrement
en position horizontale. ca-d Qu'il n'est pas
incline vers le has ou vers le haut et ou'il re-
vient de lui-méme en posation horizontale
apres une legere pression verticale du d0igt

Balancing the tonearrn

Precise balancmg of the tonearm is a pre
requiSite fOr maintenance of the tracking
force of the pickup cartridge The toneerm
needs to bebalanced only once ft is. however.
recommended to check the balance of the
tonearm from time to time

The tonearm is first balanced appromma-
tely by sliding the shaft of the balance
weight in the tonearm tube After this.
it is balanced precisely by turning the balance
weight (11)

1 With the tonearm still locked on the
arm support. turn the turntable a few
revolutions in a clockWise direction by
hand

2 Set the tracking force (10) and anti-skating
(13) controls to 0". unlock the tonearm.
and lift if from the tonearm rest

3 Check the balance of the tonearm. If
the tonearm does not balance in a hori-
zontal position at this time, loosen the
locking screw (12) and shift the balance
weight complete With its shaft until an
approximate balance is achieved Now
timten the shaft of the balance weight
by tightening the locking screw.

4 Exact balancing of the tonearrn is then
carried out by turning the balance weight

The tonearm is correctly balanced if it
remains in a horizontal position when released.
i.e if it does not rest against the lower or
upper and stops and it it returns to a horizon-
tal position if deflected vertically by a small
distance
