DECCA LONDON INTERNATIONAL
ARM
Your Decca London International Arm complete
with head shell is supplied with the following
pith:
I) Alignment protractor
2) Cardboard template
3) Damping fluid
4) Accessory screws and Allen key
5) Pick-up rest
INSTALLATION
POSITION OF ARM ON MOTORBOARD
It is recommended that the position selected tor
mounting the International Arm on the motor
board should be chosen so that the arc traversed
by the head across the record is furthest away
from the gramophone motor. mains leads. or
onlolt switches. Level the playing deck with the
aid of a spirit level or by detaching heedshell
trom arm and placing on deck as in Figure 2.

I1) Motorboard Drilling
Place clearance hole of template over turntable
spindle and scribe the intersection "Z" on the
motorboatd. This point can then he used as
centre point Ior drilling I,I/8" that hole I29mrn).
(2) Remove llange horn column. Secure flange
to gram deck, either by using the 2 woodscrews
or the 2 3.5mm screws. nuts and washers
provided, see Figure 3. When securing flange
ensure the 2 heiyrt adjusting screws are in an
accessible position for adjusting arm height. see
Figure 3. The Allen key and 2 socket screws are
provided Ior accessibility it an arm is to be sunk
in a recessed cabinet. Care must be taken not to
Over-tiwten the screws
I3) Withdraw headshell lrorn arm and fit pickup
head using screws provided by manulacturer.
Decca London Cartridge to Headstrell
(see Figure 4)
Remove linger lilt plate to reveal the Va" between
centre slots, put the 2 oblong spacers provided
on the 2 88A Ya C/HD screws previded. drop the
2 screws through the slots and lightly clamp the
terminal block to the headshell by using the
clamp plate provided.
