DR-6 PREAMPLIFIER

The DR e is a due/chassis. lullteautrc preamplifier which compliments the finest
audio systems. its level of transparency, detail, resolution. and soundstaging make
it superior to the best solid~state or tube units costing many times more. This has been
accomplished by means of sophisticated circuitry employing relerencc quality parts.
streamlined signal paths. a remote power supply. and "leading-edge" features such
as true balanced outputs.

Starting with a toroidal transiormer which has eight times the required power and
is fully shielded in copper, the power supply boasts eight stages of regulation and
i 05. 000 uF oftilter capacitance. Ofthis. 20,000 ut. the transtbrmet and all other AC.
line components (linecord connector. fuse, accessorv outlets! are housed in the remote
power supply. Only pure DC. enters the main unit via a custom-made. directional power
supply cable. The unique mating coil stage has self-adjusting impedance and variable
gain [eleven settings possible with the included, precision resistor kit). Magnetic phono
gain and equalization feature zero feedback and a passive Rli-H network.

The unprecedented true balanced high-level section finishes with an ultra- high beta
(current gain1 stage which results in the preamplifier having an output impedance of
less than one ohm. One percent. metal-film resistors are used throughout, Polystyrene
and polypropylene capacitors are used throughout the complete preamplifier. The signal
path components are sonically arranged on a single printed circuit board which. bite
all tlassé ltBs features oxygen-free deposited copper sealed with an infrared solder
mask, An additional power supply circuit board buffers the supply lines horn the main
board. All controls and switches are first qualitv mth gold and silver contacts. and
utilization of them is completely silent. free ol'noise or pulses. Other features include

are Tiffany gold plated, The balanced outputs and power supply connectors are Swiss-
