brackets of cabinet. Mount the dust cover so that on to the appropriate pin at the rear of the
the mounted hinges will be inserted to the bracket
of dust cover.
MOUNTING OF THE COUNTERWEIGHT
AND HEADSHELL
Take out the counterweight from styrofoam pad.
Mount the counterweight by slipping it onto the
rear of the tonearm (fig. 2) and turning it
counter-clockwise (viewed from the front). If your
unit contains a mounted cartridge, install the
headshell by inserting it into the end of the
tonearm as far as it will 90. Turn the screw
clockwise to draw the shell up tightly (fig. 3). If
your unit does not contain a mounted cartridge,
proceed with the following paragraph.
MOUNTING OF A CARTRIDGE
Before mounting the cartridge make sure that the
stylus is covered by the guard.
Before mounting, we suggest that the stylus unit be
removed from the cartridge body to prevent
damaging the delicate cantilever and diamond.
Take the stylus unit between thumb and forefinger
and gently withdraw by pulling it forward out of
the cartridge.
Fasten the cartridge to the headshell, using the
shortest possible screws supplied with the head-
shell. Do not fully tighten the screws yet. Be sure
that the axis of the cartridge parallels the axis of
the headshell as shown in fig. 4. To wire the
cartridge, grasp each of the push-on connectors by
the lug end with a pair of long-nose pliers and push

cartridge. The wires in the headshell are color
coded as follows:
RED - Right channel hot H)
GREEN - Right channel ground (-)
WHITE - Left channel hot (+)
BLUE - Left channel ground (-)
At this stage stylus unit can be remounted. The
guiding slot of the cartridge body gives correct
alignment. Press in the unit until it firmly touches
the front part of the cartridge body.
Position the cartridge so that the stylus tip lines up
with the mark indicated in the stylus position
gauge (fig. 5) to make the final adjustment of the
cartridge in the headshell. Tighten the mounting
screws.
TONEAHM ADJUSTMENTS
BALANCING
After mounting the headshell at the tonearm
replace or turn up the stylus guard. Untie the
mounting vinyl which holds the tonearm. Unplug
the power cord, set the antiskating knob to "0,
and make sure that cueing lever is in the down
position.
Lift the tonearm off the tonearm rest and place it
to the left of the arm rest (viewed from the front).
Turn the counterweight until the tonearm balances
horizontally (fig. 6).
Return the tonearm to the arm rest and clamp it
with lock-lever of the rest.
STYLUS FORCE ADJUSTMENT
Without turning the counterweight itself, turn the
