UsiNG FREQUENCY WHEEL
When you scan foran FM siation with
the tuning knob, you may Choose
between iwo methods:
AUT. TUNE. No noise between staiions.
A FM programme is locked on to. for
a moment. before scanning resumes.
This method gives a precise looking to
the siazion.
MAN. TUNE. 7 For listening 310 me
entire FM band, for both weak and
stronger stations.
Mono» Tm on.
The indicaior MANUAL Will lighi.
if, for example. the display shows P3;
you are tuned to that station to which
pushbuiton P3 is programmed.
STATION INDICATOR
This instrument has two functions;
SIGNAL 7 shows field strength of the
station received,
M. PATH » if the indication is less than
tnai in SiGNAL, theres a good chance
tnal your antenna is receiving
reflected signals (ghosts).
High buildings are a common source
of refiecied signals. This can cause
distortion in sound, parilcularly iar
FM stereo programmes. It may be
necessary to aim your antenna for
maxrmum indication.
The MPX light indicator demarkates a
FM stereo programme (multiplex pilot
carrier).
PROGRAMMING FOR FM
Pushbuttons E310 @can be
preset to the FM programmes you are
capable of receiving in your area.
As an example, v» if you deSire a station
with a frequency of 90.2 MHz as
programme 1:
Preslefl. Turn the FREQUENCY
tuning knob until the rlghivhand
display shows 90.2, Press FM SEE-71:53
and -. The station is now locked to
ihe Pl pusnbutton and may thereafier
be selected with this pushbuiion.
The other FM programmes are pre«sei

TREBLE Fl LTERS
Two possibilities are available for re-
duction in the treble region
FlLTEFl 1: Forlape hiss (7000 Hz.
12 Lia/octave).
FILTER 2: For treble cut-off (10,000 Hz,
6 dB/octave),
BALANCE
BALANCE, El is used to shlft the
acoustic sound impression" inwards
the left and a display shows the extent
of adjustment
in a similar mannell El shifts the Sound
to the right
In the mldeay setting the display
is blank.
STEREO-MONO
Normally, all programmes , FM,
records and tape » are reproduced
in siereo; MONO position allows mono
reproduction,
LOUDNESS
Accurate reproduction at low volume
level; deepertoheS accentuated in
the LOUDNESS position
PROGRAMMING FOR VOLUME
AND BALANCE
If you wish to have the same volume
level every time you mm on the
Beomasler 8000, then do as follows:
Tum VOLUME to the level desired?
lo xample, 28. Then press VOLUME

YOU may HOW freely tum the volume up
or down when listening in a pro-
gramme If you then turn off the stereo
with STANDBY, and turn the stereo on
again lo 7 let us say Pl, ~ volume will
be at 28
In similar fashion, balance may be set
to a specific setting each time the
stereo is turned on:
