4 Placing the Beomaster
Before finding a place tor the
Beomaster, make sure that it is
wetl away from sun-titled Windows
and direct heat from radiators and
fireplaces The Beomasters venti-
lation slots at the rear must not be
covered.

The Wall Bracket 30 (optional
accessory) offers an exceiteht
possibility of hanging both the
Eeomaster and the Beocord 2000
on the wait. The W8 30, type no.
2072, can be supplied by your
Bang & Olutsen dealer. if you put
your Becmaster in a shelving sys-
tem, at least 5 cm must be left
free at the rear to ensure suttic-
tent ventilation. At least 15 cm of
free space is required over the
Beomaster to open the aluminium
panel freely

li you want to be able to operate
the Beomaster with the Terminal
3000) you must also be sure not
to have any opaque surfaces
blocking the communication by
infra-red tight between the Termie
rial and the infra-red receiver on

5 Setting up 7 7 7 7
Make sure that the Beomaster is
disconnected from the mains
power supply while you make the
following connections.

The Beomaster can serve as an
amplifier for any hi-ti product, eg,
record player or tape recorder.
However, if you have alt the com,
ponents in the Beosystem 3000 or
other Bang a Olufsen products
with Datalink, you will be able to
enjoy the benefits of the Bang &
Olutsen Dataiink system.

Plug the cables from the FM and
AM aeriais (AM, types 2932, 2935
and 2937) into the appropriate
sockets marked ANT. (short for
antennas). if you use an indoor
FM antenna (rabbit ears" type),
attach the cable of that antenna to
the FM bracket (see drawing),

Plug the cable from your record
player into the socket marked PH
(short for phonograph).

Plug the cable from your cassette
deck into the socket marked TPl
(short for tape 1). if your cassette
deck is designed for DlN tevel sig-
nals, connect it via Bang & Olut-
sen adapter no. 7229018.

The TP2 socket is intended for an
extra tape recorder with phone
plugs If the tape recorder has
DlN level signals and a DIN plug,
connect it via Bang 8. Oiuisen
adapter no. 6270212.

Both tape inputs (TPi and TFZ)
are adjusted to LINE tevel signals.

Loudspeakers in the same room
as the Beomaster should be
plugged into the lower set at
speaker sockets (right - left).
Loudspeakers in an adioining
room should be plugged into the
upper set of sockets (right , left).
The SPEAKERSWME switch in the
programming section shoutd be
set to ON to switch on the second
set of loudspeakers.
