The Beomaster 6000 is the
nucleus of a music system

that is actually capable of re-
producing all forms of sound:
one-, two-, or fourchannel. It
comprises a four-channel high-
fidelity amplifier. FM receiver,
SO decoder, and a remote»
control Commander system.

The Beomaster 6000 is ori»
marily intended for operation
with a Bang & Olutsen Beogram
6000 four-channel record play-
er having a built-in CD4 disc
decoder. and four Beovox P 50
speakers

|n spite of its many control
facilities. the Beomaster 6000
is not difficult to operate] one
to its well-arranged controls
and the Commander systems
One detail you cannot see al-
though it means added operat-
ing convenience: The ampli-
fier is automatically silenced
for a brief moment every time
a program is selected, so you
wont be bothered by clicks
from the speakers

Erin! Operating Instructions

The Beorriaster 6000 may at
first sight seem to be a
difficult set to operate in
View of its numerous con-
trol facilities: Four sound
channels a novel way of
controlling volume and tons.
Commander remote con
trol, Stand By, and many
other things.

Actually it is easy to operate
the set once you have
acquainted yourself with it.
Below, the Various functions
Will be discussed step by step,
and the simplest thing to
start with is tuning in an FM
programme

(It is assumed that your Beo»
master 6000 is connected to
the mains and an aerial; that
FM programmes have been
pretuned; and that speakers
and a record player are
connecth to the set. A de-
tailed description of all this
starts on page 7 and as a rule
it will be your dealer who
does these things for youll

FM Programme 1

Your Beomaster 6000 is ready
for use when the mains
switch on the rear is at ON
(slide towards the left).

The Indicators associated with
the control facilities Will light
up. and you can make all ad»
lustments before selecting
your programme SOUYCE.

Set the volume to approx, 4 by
briefly pressing either
VOLUME +or VOLUME -.

Set the bass to 0 by pressing
either BASS +or BASS ~.

Set the treble to 0 With TREBLE
+or TREBLE -.

Similarly set the two balance con-
trol facilities to 0 by pressing
the four BALANCE buttons.

Depress the FRONT. Leave all
other black buttons released.

Press F l. Vour Beomaster 6000
will now play FM programme 1.

You can turn the volume up or
down as you like by briefly
pressing VOLUME +or VO-
LUME - as the case may be.

BASS and TREBLE are slmilar-
Iy controlled by pressing the
+or - buttons

To turn off the set, first press
STAND BV and thereafter FM.
