Placement
The Beomaster 1600 is designed
to be placed upon a table or a
cabinet shelf.
Avoid placing the receiver di-
rectly adjacent a radiator where
the temperature is substantially
g reater than that of the rest of the
room.
Power mains
The Beornaster 1600 can be set to
l 10, 130 220 and 240 volts, AC
operation.
For the UK market only
IMPORTANT
The wires in this mains lead are
coloured in accordance with the
following code:
Blue: Neutral
Brown: Live
As the colours of the wires in the
mains lead of this apparatus may
not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the
terminals in your plug proceed as
follows:
The wire which is coloured blue
must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured brown
must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red
Ensure that your equipment is
connected correctly. It you are in
any doubt, consult a qualified
electrician.
this set requires a 13 Amp. fuse
in the mains piug.
FM aerial
Let your dealer assist you in
choosing the FM aerial that is
best suited at your location.
lf you are limited to an indoor FM
antenna, you may purchase Bang
& Olulsen's FM antenna, type
8902010. This antenna is inserted
into a holder. found at the rear of
the receiver; the cable is brought
to the 240 - 300 ohm socket.
Loudspeakers
As many as tour loudspeakers
may be connected to the
Beomaster at one time: the first
speaker set for stereo sound in
the room where the receiveris
located; the second speaker set
is placed in another room.
Loudspeakers rated at a
minimum of 30 watts, continuous
loading, with an impedance of at
least 4 ohms are recommended.
The lefbchannel speakers are
connected to the L socket: right-
channel speakers to the R socket.
Record Player
The PHONO connector IS
designed to accomodate
Beogram record player. tow
impedance pick-up.
Tape recorder
The TAPE socket is designed to
accept a tape recorder fitted with.
a DIN plug; cable type. 0961014 is
used.
