INTRODUCTION
This information is intended to aid you in gaining the
best performance from your cartridge. Above all, we
hope that your cartridge will enhance your system's
performance and bring you increased musical appre-
ciation and involvement.
PRELIMINARY INSTALLATION
Remove the stylus tor satekeeping. With the
stylus guard down to protect the stylus.
remove the stylus assembly by pulling away
lrom the body in the direction shown, Fig. 1.
Place the stylus assembly out of harm's way.
ATSSXE
Mount the cartridge to the tone arm head
shell. Use the mounting hardware supplied
either with the cartridge or with the turntable. ,
and tighten until just snug. Reattach the head PU" SW'US straight
shell to the tone arm and, following the tone WW" '0 'emma'
armlturntable instructions, balance the tone
arm. If the tone arm will not balance with its i
counterweight all the way torwar'd. it will be If
necessary to install the additional cartridge /T ~-
weight, shown in Fig. 2. '/ 1

Attach the AT57XE to the tone arm followingafih
the tone armiturntable instructions and check . i ATSSXE weight
to see if it will balance properly. If the tone ' assembly
arm will not balance with its counterweight all '»
the way forward, carefufly slide the included
weight onto the cartridge body (Fig. 3). Avoid
touching the stylus. and make certain that the
weight is tlrmly seated.
ATSQXE
This model is specifically designed for
straight-arm turntables. Follow the turntable
instructions for installation and adjustment.
Avoid touching the stylus, and make certain
that the head shell is firmly seated.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
(Arssxe only)
Four terminals are provided at the rear of the _
cartridge-an output and ground connection AT57XE weight
for each stereo channel (Figure 4). Connect assembly
the turntable wiring to the cartridge,
observing the lead designation furnished
with the turntable. The cartridge pins
are color coded, using a well-
established standard in the turn.
