' F OOTSWITCH CONTROL - Many of Pocket Records' functions can be operated from a l'ootswitch (see FOOTSWITCH COMMANDS). When power is applied,
Pocket Record automatically determines the polarity of the footswitch (normally open or normally closed). latching type footswitches are not suitable for use
With Pocket Record.

I SETTING TEMPO- To enter TEMPO/TIME SIG SET MODE hnld STOP/CONT for more than 1 second from any mode Pocket Recordssm metronome will sound
at the last set tempo (default' Is 125 BPM) The tempo maybe tapped from the CONTROL BAR, footswitch, or Middle ( (Note #60) on the master keyboard. "IIII:
tempo may also he Chan cd from any MIDI C ontroller( I e Modulation Wheel, MIDI Volume, Foot/ Breath Controller etc). The tempo range is 40 to 280 BPM. Note:
the tempo can not be cEanged outside the TEMPO/TIME SIG SET MODE.

0 SETTING TIME SIGNATURE 7 In TEMPO/TIME SIG SET MODE, the time signature may be set by pressing the appropriate key on the master keyboard (see
TIME SIGNATURE CHART), Only one time signature may be set per sequence.

0 EXITTING TEMP/TIME SIG SET MODE - Hold STOP/CONT. for more than I second. Pocket Recordw will emit a long beep, indicating it has returned to
normal (STOP) mode,

0 EXTERNAL SYNCHRONIZATION . MIDI CLOCK (TRANSMITTING) , Pocket Recor " always transmits START/STOP/CONTINUE commands; it transmits
MIDI Clock while in PLAY or RECORD Modes. MIDI CLOCK (RECEIVING) - Pocket Recordm automatically switches from internal to external clock once it receives
a MIDI START COMMAND. If PLAY MODE is initiated from the CONTROL BAR while receiving MIDI Clockr Pocket Record will play at the correct tempo;
however, it will not necessarily be in sync with the master.

0 MEMORY SPECIFICATIONS . Pocket Record" has a total memory capacity of 32k Bytes, part of which is used by the operating system. At the default tempo,
Pocket Record will handle approximately 15 000 events, or 7 500 notes. The maximum capacity for a continuous sYS-EX dump is around 30k Bytes. While in
RECORD MODE an alarm will rapidly beep for 1 second when Pocket Records " memory becomes full. Data received after the start of the alarm will be ignored,
While all previous data remains intact.
