OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Pocket PanicW can he used to send a MIDI panic" on all 16 MIDI Channels. It can be used with all equipment and requires no batteries or external power
supply to operate,

CONTROL BAR
a) Connect the MIDI OUT of a keyboard or any MIDI device to the input jack labelled IN" on Pocket Panic".
b) Connect the otltput jack labelled OUT" of Pocket Panicw to the MIDI IN of a synthesizer or sound module.
c) Connect optional footswitch to the jack labelled SW" on Pocket Panic".
All the sound modules can now he playcd from the master keyboard or MIDI device. When Pocket Panicw is powered-up, it defaults to IDLE MODE.
In IDLE MODIZ, all MIDI tlaIa received is passed directly to the MIDI OUT jack.
II' a IANIC, CONTROLLER RESET, or an ()MNI OFF command is initiated, Pocket Panic will ignore incoming data until the command 1: complete.
2. OPERATION
POCKET PANICS CONTROL BAR
Anatck's unique CONTROL BAR operates all of Pocket Panics' functions. The primary commands are 0 (()MN I OFF), SEND (PANIC), and C (Controller Reset).
The complete command set is listed below:

5. STATUS LED MIDI DATA TYPES
When Iockct Panicw is first connected to a MIDI device. the red LED lights-indicating that RECEIVED TFIANSMITTED
presence of power (IDLE MODE). ,
Pocket Panicm has 5 LED status modes: ll Il L Ml n it l All All
IDLE MODE The status LED stays Iit except when data is sent through Pocket Panic. When data
is received, the status light turns off for each MIDI message. Real-time (i.e. Clock & active sensing) ,

PANIC While a PANIC is being sent, the LED will flash briefly 4 times at an interval of once per Wholmr la CHANNELS 1. l8
