enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude
to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

triangle is intended to alert the user to the
presence of important operating and
maintenance (servicing) instructions in the
literature accompanying the appliance,

PRECAUTIONS r

Read the Operating Instructions carefully and completely before
operating the unit. Be sure to keep the Operating instructions
for future reference. All warnings and cautions in the Operating
Instructions and on the unit should be strictly followed, as well
as the safety suggestions below.

Installation

1 Water and moisture - Do not use this unit near water, such
as near a bathtub, washbowl, swimming pool, or the like.

2 Heat - Do not use this unit near sources of heat, including
heating vents, stoves, or other appliances that generate heat.
it also should not be placed in temperatures less than 5°C
(41°F) or greater than 35°C (95°F).

3 Mounting surface - Place the unit on a flat, even surface.

4 Ventilation - The unit should be situated with adequate
space around it so that proper heat ventilation is assured.
Allow to cm (4 in.) clearance from the rear and the top of the
unit, and 5 cm (2 in.) from each side.

- Do not place the unit on a bed, rug, or similar surface that
may block the ventilation openings.

- Do not install the unit in a bookcase, cabinet, or airtight rack
where ventilation may be impeded.

5 Obiects and liquid entry - Take care that objects or liquid
do not get inside the unit through the ventilation openings.

6 Carts and stands - When placed or
mounted on a stand or cart, the unit should
be moved with care.

Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven
surfaces may cause the unit or cart to
overturn or fall.

7 Condensation - Moisture may form on the CD pickup lens
when:

- The unit is moved from a cold spot to a warm spot

- The heating system has just been turned on

- The unit is used in a very humid room

- The unit is cooled by an air conditioner

When this unit has condensation inside, it may not function
normally. Should this occur, leave the unit for a few hours,
then try to operate again.

8 Wall or ceiling mounting -The unit should not be mounted
on a wall or ceiling, unless specified in the Operating
Instructions.

1 Power sources - Connect this unit only to power sources

specified in the Operating Instructions, and as marked on the

unit.

2 Polarization - As a safety feature, some units are equipped
with polarized AC power plugs which can only be inserted
one way into a power outlet. If it is difficult or impossible to
insert the AC power plug into an outlet, turn the plug over and
try again. If it is not still inserted easily into the outlet, please
call a qualified service technician to service or replace the
outlet. To avoid defeating the safety feature of the polarized
plug, do not force it into a power outlet.

3 Ac power cord
~ When disconnecting the AC power cord, pull it out by the

AC power plug. Do not pull the cord itself.

- Never handle the AC power plug with wet hands, as this
could result in fire or shock.

- Power cords should be firmly secured to avoid being severely
bent, pinched, or walked upon. Pay particular attention to
the cord from the unit to the power socket.

- Avoid overloading AC power plugs and extension cords
beyond their capacity, as this could result in fire or shock.

4 Extension cord -To help prevent electric shock. do not use
a polarized AC power plug with an extension cord, receptacle,
or other outlet unless the polarized plug can be completely
inserted to prevent exposure of the blades of the plug.

5 When not in use- Unplug the AC power cord from the power
outlet if the unit will not be used for several months or more.
When the cord is plugged in. a small amount of current
continues to flow to the unit, even when the power is turned
off.

DEMOSTRACION DE JUEGO

Cuando el cable de alimentacién de CA 35 conecle a una toma
de CA por primera vez después de haber adquirido el aparato,
la demostracién del juego empezaré en el visualizador. Cuando
se oonecle la alimentacién, la demoslracién del juego lerminaré.
Cuando se desconecle Ia alimentacién, la demostracién del juego
empezaré de nuevo.

no empezaré aunque se desconecte Ia alimentacién. Consulte

Para iniciar o flnallzar la demostracién del luego cuando
esté puesta la hora en el reloj.
Pulse DEMO cuando Ia alimentacién esté desconectada; Ia
demostracién del juego empezaré.
Para linalizar Ia demoslracién del juego, pulse de nuevo DEMO.

Para reproducir la demostracién
1 Pulse DEMO de lorma que se visualice Ia demostracién del
juego.
2 Pulse D.
En el visualizador empezarén a moverse tres numeros.
3 Pulse una vez I.
El namero del Iado izquierdo se pararé.
4 Pulse dos veces I para detener Ios dos numeros reslantes.
Puntuacion:
Al empezar el juego dispondra de 20 puntos.
Si todos los numgrga $913 'gualeg se afiadiran 50 puntos a la
puntuacién.
Si no son iguales se le resiaré un punlo.
Si Ios punlos Ilegan a 9999, usted gana.
Si Ios puntos Ilegan a 0, usled pierde.

8 EspAflOL

Para reanudar la demostracién del iuego
Pulse dos veces DEMO y después pulse >. El juego se
reanudaré.

Para cambiar las probabilidades de igualacién de los tres
numeros

Pulse repetidamenle « o » para seleccionar uno de Ios
tres niveles de probabilidad cuando juegue con la demostracién
del juego. EI indicador del numero de bandeia cambia en el
visualizador entre 1 y 3. AI aumentar el numero de la bandeja
(de 1 a 3), mas alta seré Ia probabilidad de la igualaclon,

- Durante la demostracién del juego, I ,«, »y >solamente
estarén disponibles para dicha demoslracién. Para ulilizar
estos botones, para funciones tales como reproduccién de
discos compactos, etc, cancele Ia demostracién del juego.

- Durante la demostracién del juego, en el visualizador
aparecerén algunos indicadores no relacionados con la
operacién actual.

Mise en place des piles
Enlevez Ie couvercle du logement des piles au dos de la
telecommande et insérez deux piles R6 (format AA).

Quand remplacer les plies

La distance maximale de fonctionnement de la télécommande
entre cette derniere et le capteur situé sur lappareil principal
doit étre denviron 5 metres (16 pieds). Lorsque cette distance
diminue, remplacez les piles par des neuves.

Pour utiliser SHIFT de la télécommande

Les touches 6) ant deux fonctions différentes. Une de ces
functions est indiquée sur la touche, et lautre sur la plaque située
au-dessus de la touche.

Pour utiliser la lonction principale de la touche, appuyez
simplement sur cette touche.

Pour utiliser la tonction de la plaque au-dessus de la touche,
appuyez sur cette touche tout en maintenanl SHIFT enfonoée.

Pour utiliser FUNCTION de la télécommande

FUNCTION remplace les touches de lonction (TAPE, TUNERI
BAND, PHONO, VIDEO/AUX, 00) de lappareil principal.

A chaque pression sur FUNCTION, la tonction suivanle est
sélectionnée.

SHIFT FUNCTION

REMAROUE

- Si Ia télécommande ne doit pas etre utilisée pendant longtemps,
enlevez les piles pour éviter tout risque de iui'le délectrolyte.

- La téléoommande risque de ne pas fonctionner correctement
quand:

- l'espace entre la télécommande et le capteur situé dans
lafiicheur est expose a une lumiere intense, comme les rayons
du soleil.

- dautres telecommandes (celle dun téléviseur, par exemple)
sont utilisées a proximité.

Pour mettre lappareil sous tension

Appuyez sur une des touches de fonction (TAPE,TUNER/BAND,
PHONO, VIDEO/AUX, CD) La lecture du disque en place
commence, ou la station écoutée en dernier est recue (fonction
de lecture directe).

Vous pouvez aussi appuyer sur POWER.

Pour mettre lappareil hors tension
Appuyez sur POWER.

Indications par éclairage des touches

Lorsque vous appuyez sur POWER ou sur une touche de
fonction, les touches correspondent é l'opération sélectionnée
sallume ou clignote.

Afficheurs clignotants

L'atficheur de la partie supérieure de lappareil sallume ou
clignote quand lappareil est mis sous tension.

Pour éteindre léclairage de la fenétre supérieure, appuyez sur
I tout en maintenant CD enfoncée. Pour rallumer léclairage,
répétez cette operation.

REMABQUE

Lorsque vous appuyez sur CD pour ailumer/éteindre lafticheur
clignotant, la LECTURE AVEC SAUT DES BLANCS est aussi
activée/désactivée.

Pour changer Ie niveau de luminosité de lafflchage

1 Appuyez sur Eco de maniere que ECO MODE" soit affiché.

2 Dans les quatre secondes, tournez MULTI JOG pour afficher
"DIM MODE", puis appuyez sur ENTER dans les quatre
secondes.

3 Dans les quatre secondes, tourner MULTI JOG pour
sélectionner le mode de luminosité comme ci-dessous.
Le mode est automatiquement réglé au bout de quatre
secondes. ll est aussi reglé si on appuie sur ENTER dans les
quatre secondes apres letape 3.

[DIM-OFF <-> DIMMER tODIMMEFl 2 <-> DIMMER 3 4-l

DIM-OFF: Aftichage normal.

DIMMEFI 1: Léclairage de laffichage est plus sombre que
dhabitude.

DIMMER 2: Léclairage de Iaflichage est plus sombre que
dans Ie mode DIMMER 1.

DIMMER 3: Leclairage de Ialfichage est plus sombre que
dans la mode DIMMEFl 2. Lanalyseur de spectre, le fenétre
située au sommet de lappereil et les temoins de touche
séteignent.
