INSERCION DE CINTAS
- En la platina 1, les cintas se reproducen siempre por ambas
cares.
En la platina 2, pcdra seleccionar el modo de inversién para
reproducir una o dos caras.
- Utilice cintas normales (tipo I), de CrOz (tipo II) 0 de metal
(tipo IV) para la reproduccién.
Pulse el botén TAPE y la marca A EJECT para abrlr el
portacassette. --9 fl
Inserts una cinta con el lado expuesto hacia abajo y con la Gare
que vaya a ser reproducida en primer lugar hacia adelante.
Empuje el portacassette para cerrarlo.
Para seleccionar un modo de inversién (platina 2
solamente) -~ B
Cada vez que pulse el botén REV MODE, el modo de inversién
cambiara,
Para reproducir una cara solamente, encienda Z.
Para reproducir la cara delantera y la trasera una vez solamente,
encienda I).
Para reproducir repetidamente ambas caras, encienda (II

visualizador indicara Ia reproduccicn continua. (Consulte la

REPRODUCCION DE UNA CINTA -t
lnsene una cinta.
1 Pulse el botén DOLBY NR y active 0 desactive
Dolby NR segtm las caracteristicas de la cinta
de reproduccién.
Para cintas grabadas con DOLBY NR, active DU NR.
Para cintas grabadas sin DOLBY NR, desactive DU NFL
2 Pulse el botén 4» para iniciar la reproduccién.

D: La cara que queda hacia adelante (cara delantera)
estasiendo reproducida.
<1: La cara que queda hacta atrés (cara trasera) esta siendo
reproducida.
C2) El contador de cinta indica el movimiento de la clnta.
Cuando haya cintas insertadas en ambas platinas
Pulse el botén TAPE para seleccionar primero una platina.
El numero de la platina seleccionada se visualizara.
Para detener la reproduccién, pulse el boton I.
Para hacer una pausa en la reproduccién (platina 2
solamente), pulse el botén ll. Para reanudar la reproduccién,
pulselo otra vez
Para cambiar Ia cara de reproduccién, pulse el boto'n <>
DlRECTION/PRESET en el mode de reproduceién 0 en el de
pausa.
Avance rapids o rebobinado, pulse el botén « c » en el
modo de parada. Luego pulse el botén I para detener Ia cinta.
Para iniciar la reproduccion cuando la alimentacién esté
desactivada (funcicn de reproduccién directa)
Pulse el bolén TAPE. La alimentacién se conectara y la
reproduccién de la cinta insertada empezara.
Para poner el contador de cinta a 0000
Pulse el botén I CLEAR en el modo ale parada.
El ccntador se pondré también a 0000 cuando se abra el
portacassette,
MISE EN PLACE DE CA§§E1TE§
- Avec la platine 1, les cassettes sont toujours lues sur les deux
facesr
Avec la platine 2, on peut choisir un mode dinversion pour lire
une face 00 les deux.
- Pour la lecture, utiliser des cassettes normales (type I), Cr02
(type II) ou au metal (type lV)r
Appuyer sur la touche TAPE puis appuyer sur la marque
A EJECT pour ouvrir le pone-cassette. _. fl
Insérer une cassette avec le cété exposé du ruban magnétique
en has at avec la lace a lire en premier orientée vers Iavant.
Pousser le pone-cassette pour le fermer.
Pour sélectionner un mode dlnverslon (platine 2
seulement) -9 E]
A chaque pression sur la touche REV MODE, le mode dinversion
changer
Pour lire une seule face, allumer 2.
Pour lire de la face avant a la face arriere une seule fois, allumer

Pour lire les deux laces a plusieurs reprises, allumer C").
- Quand il y a des cassettes dans les deux platines, 2) sur
laffichage signifle Lecture continua? (Vcir page 35)
LECTURE DUNE CASSE'I'I'E ->
Metlre une cassette en place
1 Appuyer sur la touche DOLBY NR pour mettre Ie
réducteur de bruit en ou hors service, en fonction
de la cassette 5 lire.
Pour les cassettes enregistrées avec reducteur de bruit
DOLBY, allumer DD NR.
Pour les cassettes enregislrees sans reducteur de bruit
DOLBY, éteindre DU NR,
2 Appuyer sur la touche 4» pour démarrer la
lecture. -

G) Face Iue de la cassette
l> : La face orientée vers lavant (Ia lace avant) est lus.
<1: la face orientée vers larriere (la face arriere) est lue.
® Le compteur indique la durée de délilement de la bande.
Quand II a des cassettes dans les deux platines
Appuyer d'abord sur la touche TAPE pour sélectionner une
platine.
Le numéro de la platine sélectionnée est affiché.
Pour arréter la lecture, appuyer sur la louche I.
Pour menre Ia lecture en pause (platlne 2 seulement),
appuyer sur la touche ll. Pour reprendre la lecture. appuyer de
nouveau sur cette touche.
Pour changer de face lue, appuyer sur la touche 4)
DIRECTION/PRESET pendant la lecture ou le mode pause.
Pour obtenir une avance rapide cu un rebobinage, appuyer
sur la touche « ou » dans Ie mode arrétr Ensuite, appuyer
sur la touche I pour arréter le délilement.
Pour démarrer la lecture quand l'alimentation est coupée
(function de lecture directe)
Appuyer sur la louche TAPE. Lappareil est mis sous tension et
la lecture de la cassette en place commence.
Pour mettre le compteur a 0000
Appuyer sur la touche I CLEAR dans Ie mode arrétr
Le compteur est aussi mis a 0000 quand le pone-cassette est
ouvert.

DUBBING THE WHOLE TAPE
This function allows you to make exact copies of both sides of
the original tape.
The reverse side of both tapes will start simultaneously as soon
as the longer tape has been reversed.

- Dubbing does not start from a point halfway in the tape.
- The reverse mode is automatically set to I).
- The Dolby NFl does not affect recording.
1 Press the TAPE button.
2 Insert the original tape into deck 1 and the tape
to be recorded on into deck 2.
Insert each tape with the side to be played back or recorded
first facing the loreground.
3 Press the SVNC DUB button once ortwice to start
recording.
For recording at normal speed:
Press it once to display N-DUBi
For recording at high speed:
Press it twice to display H-DUB.
The tapes are rewound to the beginning of the front sides,
and then recording starts.
To stop dubbing
Press the l button.
To set the Dolby NR when playing back the dubbed tape
Press the DOLBY NFt button and turn Dolby NR on or off to
match the original tape.

- Recording does not start, it the erasure prevention tab on either
side oi the tape is broken off.
- It the leader segment of the mpe to be recorded on is longer
than that of the original tape, recording on the reverse side
may stop midway through the recording. In this case, dub each
side manually tollowing the procedure in DUBBING THETAPE
MANUALLY".

MICROPHONE MIXING
Two microphones can be connected to this unit, allowing you to
sing along to music sources.
Use a microphone with a mini plug ((33.5 mm, le inches).
NSX-VSI G: Microphone is supplied.
NSX-V50N52/V54: Microphone is not "supplied.
Before connecting a microphone
Set the MIC MIXING control to MIN.
1 Connect your microphone(s) to the MIC 1 or MIC
2 jack.
2 Press one of the function buttons to select the
source to be mixed, and play the source.
3 Adjust the volume and tone of the source.
4 Adjust the microphone volume with the MIC
MIXING control.
The volume of both microphones is adjusted simultaneously.
5 Adjust the echo with the DIGITAL ECHO control.
To record microphone sound mixed with source sound
Follow the procedure for recording trom the source (pages 36 to
33).
The SYNC DUB button cannot be used for mixing recording.
When not using the microphones
Set the MIC MIXING and DIGITAL ECHO controls to MIN and
remove the microphones from the MIC jacks.

. When a connected microphone is used, the FRONT
SURROUND system Is automatically canceled.
- If the microphone is held too nearthe speakers, a howling sound
may be produced, In this case, hold the microphone away
from the speakers, or decrease the sound level using the MIC
MIXING control.
' It Sound through the microphone is extremely loud, it may be
distorted, In this case, turn the MIC MIXING control toward
MIN,
Recommended microphone
The use of a unidirectional type microphone is recommended to
prevent howling. Contact your local Aiwa dealer for details.
